Everyone knows New York City has the best pizza shops in the world (please, we need this), but the debate of which NYC pizza place is the best rages on. So we set out to answer the age old question: What's the best pizza in NYC?
NOTE: This video was filmed before the coronavirus lockdown and social distancing recommendations were in place.
Our first stop was Prince Street Pizza in Soho, Manhattan.

Prince Street is known for their spicy pepperoni slice.
The sauce is hot and sweet, and it really complements the savory flavor of the pepperoni.

Next up, Mama's Too on the Upper West Side, Manhattan.

They serve pizza that's like a cross between a Neapolitan and a New York slice.
The crust is incredibly airy; it's like eating a baguette. The sauce is super flavorful and the pizza is light and refreshing.

Next, we made the trek out to Di Fara Pizza in Midwood, Brooklyn.

Domenico DeMarco has been making pizza in this shop for over 50 years.
We loved how fresh everything tasted and how most of the ingredients are imported from Italy. The sauce was an explosion of flavor!

We were getting full, but we had two more pizzas to eat! On to Artichoke Pizza in the East Village, Manhattan.

Artichoke slices are big...really, really big. They're covered in cheese, artichoke sauce, and artichoke hearts.
They're rich, creamy, delicious, and very filling. If you're a cheese-lover, you'll love this pizza.

Finally, the staple slice — Joe's Pizza in Greenwich Village, Manhattan.

This is THE New York slice. It looks like what you get when you do a Google search for "NYC Pizza."
It's a simple slice, but one with a nearly perfect balance of ingredients. Even after four other slices, we still devoured Joe's.
