During their annual Disney Investor Day 2020, Disney+ announced they have a TON of content coming to the streaming service over the next few years, including 10 (YES 10!!!) new Star Wars series:
Speaking at the event, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy introduced TWO new original series concurrently in development from The Mandalorian helmers Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau that will tie in to The Mandalorian:
Rangers of the New Republic
Of course, fans of The Mandalorian probably suspected we might be getting an Ahsoka spinoff, as the character was recently introduced on the show.
Also in 2022 will be Andor, starring Diego Luna as his character from Rogue One, Cassian Andor, which will be helmed by filmmaker Tony Gilroy.
And the highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi, which OMG (!!!!!!) will see the return of Hayden Christensen in his role as Darth Vader from the prequel films.
And, of course, Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan. As of right now, it appears that it will be a limited series.
Lando, which will see the return of iconic scoundrel Lando Calrissian and is being developed by Dear White People filmmaker Justin Simien.
And finally, The Acolyte will be a show that takes place during the final days of the High Republic era.
Now the big question: Which show are you most excited for?!
