Look, not every movie ever made has to be an Oscar-winning masterpiece. In fact, I'd argue a lot of the greatest movies never received the accolades they so rightfully deserved (justice for The Big Lebowski!!).
And sometimes people come at certain movies with pitchforks and torches (especially critics) when the movies really don't deserve it! So, when Reddit user u/SirAren posed the question, "Which movies do you think aren't nearly as bad as people say?" to the r/movies community, I took note. Here are some of the top-voted responses that, I don't know, maybe you'll find controversial:
1. The Chronicles of Riddick (2004)

2. Van Helsing (2004)

3. Reign of Fire (2002)

4. Jumper (2008)

5. Tron Legacy (2010)
