Okay, The "Lego Star Wars Holiday Special" Actually Looks Really Funny And Really Cute

There's even a cameo by BABY YODA.

If you're old (or nerdy) enough to remember, there was a famously bad Star Wars Holiday Special in 1978.

Based on the massive success of the original 1977 film, and to tide fans over until the next Star Wars films, this made-for-TV special aired on CBS and was basically a variety show featuring lots of Wookies, awkward cameos by the movies' stars, and Golden Girls legend Bea Arthur (seriously).

Anyway, the OG Holiday Special also introduced us to a Wookie holiday called "Life Day." Now, 42 years later, we will revisit Life Day in the Lego Star Wars Holiday Special, which premieres Nov. 17 on Disney+. Check out the trailer:

The movie takes place directly after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and follows Rey as she prepares for Life Day and sets off on a new adventure with BB-8 to gain a deeper knowledge of the Force.

At a mysterious Jedi temple, Rey is hurled into a cross-timeline adventure through beloved moments in Star Wars cinematic history, like coming into contact with young Luke Skywalker as he makes his iconic trench run.

The movie will also be filled with some A+++ cameos. Like this one from everyone's fave...Baby Yoda!

May the Force be with us this holiday season!

The Lego Star Wars Holiday Special premieres Nov. 17, only on Disney+.
