"Us" Is Jordan Peele's Follow Up To "Get Out" And This New Poster Will Have You Screaming
WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!
In case you hadn't heard, in fun movie news today, Universal just dropped a new poster for Jordan Peele's highly-anticipated film Us.

Universal
Not a TON is known about Peele's follow up film to his Academy Award-winning Get Out (more on that in a moment). But according to Vanity Fair it is "going to be another social thriller" and comes out March 2019.
Now, this is a very STRIKING image, but I was particularly struck by the fact that the scissors in the new poster look like the heads in the teaser poster released earlier this year.

Universal
Hmmmmmmm.
I mean, this CAN'T be a coincidence, right?!

Universal
Is this like a Jeckyll & Hyde thing? Are the protagonists going to be cutting/separating people? Or is it completely unrelated and am I just looking WAY too into this (I don’t think I am)?!?!
I'm also loving the ONE fingerless driving glove (is someone a race-car driver or just very cool?!) and velvet red jumpsuit (getting some serious Handmaid's Tale vibes) combination.

Universal
It's a beautiful aesthetic and I am heeeere for all of it.
So, here's what we know about Us so far. First, it stars Black Panther's Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke.

Elisabeth Moss — speaking of The Handmaid's Tale — will also have a supporting role.
And earlier this year /Film exclusively released a plot synopsis (although, take this with a grain of salt as it wasn't an officially "released" synopsis, but one sent out with test screening invites):
A mother (Nyong’o) and a father (Duke) take their kids to their beach house expecting to unplug and unwind with friends (including Elizabeth Moss). But as night descends, their serenity turns to tension and chaos when some shocking visitors arrive uninvited.
Of course, Peele offered no additional insight with today's drop...
Watch yourself.
...but he DID say that a trailer will drop on CHRISTMAS.
Trailer drops Xmas.
So, consider yourself blessed this holiday season!
