Tell Us Which Teacher Made You Who You Are

For National Teacher Appreciation Month, Crayola invites America to play a giant game of show-and-tell...sharing favorite teacher memories and messages of thanks!

Let's face it: We'd all be nowhere without our former teachers.

Sure, sometimes you felt like your teacher's job was just to assign you homework and give you detention.

But, deep down, you know that homework helped you practice your skills.

And detention? Well...maybe sometimes you kind of deserved it.

Point is, your teachers not only taught you humanities and arithmetic but also how to be yourself.

That's why for Teacher's Appreciation Month, Crayola invites you to join them in thanking teachers everywhere!

Thank your teacher who always made your class mixtapes with songs that were thematically tied to whatever you were reading, just so you'd understand the material better.

Or thank that music teacher who helped you learn to spell the word "rhythm" by shimmying around the room exclaiming, "Rhythm Has Your Two Hips Moving!"

Maybe you'd even like to thank your teacher who taught you how to properly say, "Thank you!"

Did you have a teacher who went above and beyond to make you the real-life adult you are today? If so, share your story in the comments and you could be featured in an upcoming BuzzFeed Community post for Crayola.

(Just a heads up — anything you send us is covered by the regular BuzzFeed User Terms.)
