The commercial, titled “Math Notes,” is one of three new not-that-funny “funny” ads via Toshiba Canada aiming directly at the college boy market.
My first reaction was: ‘that ain’t funny.’
My second reaction was: ‘that ain’t right.’
Maybe I’m overreacting.
Sherry Lyons, vice president of corporate and marketing communications at Toshiba of Canada, told AdFreak: “Toshiba would never intentionally set out to offend our customers. We do not feel that the ‘Math Notes’ video is offensive or cliché.”
It should be noted that last Summer Toshiba Canada, via the same ad agency, produced some pretty sexist tablet spots.
Two other ads from the immature campaign are below.
I think we can all guess what Toshiba is implying is on the walls in the “Black Light” ad.
- President Trump signed an anti-abortion executive order that reinstates the so-called "global gag rule," barring foreign organizations taking US money from providing abortions.
- The new Trump Hotel in Washington, DC, has lost more than $1 million and is in violation of Donald Trump's lease with the government, say Democratic lawmakers.
- In the first major lawsuit of his presidency, Donald Trump has been sued by top legal scholars over alleged conflicts of interest with his foreign business entanglements.
- Samsung finally explained why its Galaxy Note 7 phones kept catching fire, blaming a combo of faulty batteries and improper welding📱🔥
