Some Of The Best Children’s Photography Of 2012

Seven shots, including the winning photo, from the Children’s Eyes on Earth photography contest.


The first place photo, taken by 8-year-old Russian Anastaya Vorobko, entitled “SOS!”

The contest aimed to raise awareness of environmental issues through the eyes of young people and their photographs. The kids were encouraged to illustrate the themes of ‘I love nature’ and ‘I hate pollution.’ It was open to all children under the age of 17 and the winners were selected from over 4,000 entries.


Second prize: “Emergency Exit” by Juan Carlos Canales, 14, from Spain.


Joint third place went to Biana Stan, 14, from Romania for “Fields Of Green.”


Special prize winner Sophie Vela, 14, from France. “In The Wind.”


Raghav Paul, 14, took a shot of migratory birds in India.


This is my second favorite: “Peaceful Co-existence,” by 9-year-old Darpan Basak.


This is my favorite, “Keeping An Eye On Things,” by Nicholas Morrow, 16, from Australia.
