The first place photo, taken by 8-year-old Russian Anastaya Vorobko, entitled “SOS!”
The contest aimed to raise awareness of environmental issues through the eyes of young people and their photographs. The kids were encouraged to illustrate the themes of ‘I love nature’ and ‘I hate pollution.’ It was open to all children under the age of 17 and the winners were selected from over 4,000 entries.
Second prize: “Emergency Exit” by Juan Carlos Canales, 14, from Spain.
Joint third place went to Biana Stan, 14, from Romania for “Fields Of Green.”
