6 Reasons We're Closer Than Ever To Achieving Immigration Reform

2013 is the year we are going to pass immigration reform. Here's why.

Lately, we've been hearing that the movement put up a good fight, but in 2013, legislation is going to be just out of reach.

Well, we disagree. Our movement is stronger than it's ever been, and we believe that we are closer than ever to passing immigration reform with a path to citizenship. Here's why.

    1. Because the majority of Americans support reform

88% of adult Americans support immigration reform with a path to citizenship. Why? Because it just makes sense- for our country, for our economy, and for America's families.

    2. Because there are enough Republicans in support of citizenship to pass reform in the House

Remember these guys? So far, 26 House Republicans have come out in support of immigration reform with a path to citizenship. Hats off to you, my friends.

    Thanks, friends!

    4. Because failing to act on reform would spell disaster for the Republican party

If you haven't noticed, Republicans have been a bit out of touch with their constituency as of recent.

If immigration reform fails, Republicans lose the Latino vote and will take a fatal nosedive in upcoming elections.

    5. Because there are only a handful of crazies left on the opposition, and no one's really listening to them anyway

    Remember Rep. Steve King's (R-IA) anti-immigration rally?

    Yeah, neither does anyone else.

    6. Because for months, hundreds of thousands of people have taken to the streets to fight for reform

Yeah, we think so to. Want to be a part of the action?
