My Extreme Rules 2017 Predictions

With Extreme Rules live this Sunday, and with the match card set, it's time I made my official predictions.

Posted on

This match is a bit of a filler, and a disappointment that Sasha Banks, a top level superstar, is joining the Cruiserweights. To me, it insults the whole career of Sasha Banks and everything she has done to get to where she is now. I honestly can't even predict this match because it it such a bad idea for the PPV, will most likely end up as a pre-show match, and is such obvious filler I can't even laugh at it. However, if I had to pick one team, I'd pick Rich Swann & Sasha Banks. Honestly, I don't pay enough attention to 205 Live to know a lot about Rich Swann or Noam Dar, but I do know enough about Sasha Banks and Alicia Fox to ask "Why the hell are they in a feud?" Alicia Fox is so far beneath Sasha Banks' level, she's BELOW the sewers. Moving on...

I've been a fan of both superstars in this match, and even after the heel turn, I have to admit I still like Neville, because face or heel, he has an amazing in-ring ability. Austin Aries strikes some memories for me, because I was in attendance when he started "Option C" while he was in TNA, and when he came to NXT, I immediately wanted him on the main roster, and so I'm a bit pissed he's with the Cruiserweights because he should be on RAW or SmackDown. Using my opinions of both superstars, I can't see a very good submission match, but I'd have to go with Neville, sadly because we all know he's going to win because no matter how many people or who cheers for Austin Aries, he's going to lose. In any other situation, I'd vote Aries on this one, but I know for a fact that this match is going to end in boring bullshit either way because RAW doesn't have the right roster OR the right matches at this point.

I'm from Philly, home of ECW, so this is a no brainer: Cesaro & Sheamus of course! They've had some extreme matches and have pushed themselves to leap off of ladders, cages, and scaffolds. They are "Team Extreme." GIVE ME A BREAK! NEXT!!!

You know, I was watching old episodes of RAW a few weeks ago, and I watched this match between Candice Michelle and Torrie Wilson on the August 28, 2006 episode of RAW, and they had a match very similar to this and there was a pink paddle hanging from the pole. At the end of this match, they pretty much had a spank session and kissed a little, and then for some reason Candice spanked Torrie's dog with the paddle. Now, I'm not saying this will happen again, but what I am saying is that both women will end up on their knees crying together in a pool of their own tears. And by "both women" I mean one. And by "one" I mean Alexa, because that touch cheerleader is dead, and the truth is while Bayley is preparing to snap that stick over Alexa's back, Alexa will cry, begging for mercy, and when Bayley comforts Alexa, Alexa will either turn the tables on Bayley or Alexa will turn face and we'll see a little kissing around the ring like in 2006, therefore effectively demolishing the entire women's revolution, guaranteeing the returns of Eva Marie, Paige, AJ Lee, Kelly Kelly, and more women, who will once again be called Diva's, also effectively bringing back the bullshit we suffered through in 2013-2015, with the Authority storyline, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Anyway my prediction for this match is a HORRIBLE ending.

This is the one Singles match in the whole thing with an "interesting" stipulation that's been used about a hundred times before. Anyway my vote is for Miz because the fact that the stipulation is if AMBROSE loses by DQ tells me that AMBROSE will lose via DQ by some bullshit planned by Miz.

Since this is a Fatal 5-Way match and the winner is basically ready to get his head ripped off, I'm going to talk about each man and discuss what would happen if they win.

Roman Reigns

If Roman wins this thing AND Brock Lesnar, there will be no stopping fans from jumping the barricade and SHREDDING Roman to pieces. They had him retire The Undertaker and this has not been brought up anytime after the RAW after Wrestlemania. It's obvious that Undertaker losing to Roman Reigns was a decision made by the WWE Corporate offices after their big night at the bar, and so their drunkenly made decision is now a huge regret of the company and an embarrassment to the McMahon empire. For the sake of his career, Roman Reigns cannot afford to win this match.

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins is no stranger to Suplex City, and has been welcomed more than a few times, and even led Brock Lesnar to flipping a table upside down like a true boss. While I'd enjoy watching Seth Rollins get thrown around the ring like a bitch once again, Seth isn't one of my top picks to win on Sunday.

Finn Balor

Finn Balor is an amazing talent that was injured early in his main roster career. He has an amazing in-ring ability that would majorly support in a match against Brock Lesnar, who in this case I must criticize as his move-set is very limited and basic. However, one thing Brock Lesnar has done in his life if fight in UFC, and whether or not you are a fan of WWE or Brock Lesnar, you have to admit that Brock Lesnar is a strong person in general and would likely kick the crap out of Finn Balor, and would probably piss a lot of people off in the process.

Bray Wyatt

I can't even tell you how much I'm going to enjoy talking about Bray Wyatt here. Bray Wyatt vs Brock Lesnar is a long time coming, and we were cheated out of it at Roadblock 2016. Nothing would give me greater joy than watching Wyatt vs Heyman promos until Summerslam only to end in the ultimate ass-kicking of Bray Wyatt, delivered from the beast himself, which I expect will draw mixed attention from the fans.

Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe vs Brock Lesnar.... One match that I would have high expectations for. One match that would HAVE to go down in a fight. This would be no ordinary match. This would be an ultimate ass-kicking. I can't think of anything greater at Summerslam than watching the match that would last more than 5 minutes and has a very high chance of ending with Lesnar down and out. Honestly, I'd like to see this as a boxing or MMA match because Brock kicking Samoa Joe's Jaw down his throat would be AWESOME, and again would draw mixed attention.
