Internet Cats Get The Fashion Line They Deserve

Artist Hiroko Kubota's embroidered kitty shirts are the stuff crazy cat lady (and fella) dreams are made of. Pocket cats! Cats for your pockets!

Hiroko Kubota's embroidered button-downs have just been informally inducted into our Cat Fashion Hall of Fame. (Which is quite the honor — other members include Charlotte Olympia's kitty flats, Opening Ceremony's feline sweatshirts, and anything Karl Lagerfeld stamps Choupette's face on.)

The Japanese embroidery master started embellishing oxfords with kitties at her son's request — he has a whole desktop folder of internet cat photos. (Us too, kid.)

Since cat-themed goods really thrive online, orders started pouring into the artist's Etsy shop, ShopGoGo5, where the shirts go for $250 to $300.

Spendy, yes. But a small price to pay to have a kitten in your pocket at all times.

Like this little guy, who just noticed that sandwich you are eating, and, oh, hey, is that...turkey?

And this fuzzball who is, like, two seconds away from batting at your necklace.

This kitty is very concerned that you aren't taking enough naps.

And this one got into the catnip stash, and everything is beautiful and nothing hurts and is that a laser pointer oh god why is the room spinning.

This cat clawed out a little slit for her tail.

While this one was like "I'm going to bite a hole the size of my face in that pocket. YOLO."

From this day forward, every pocket square shall be replaced with a pocket cat, we just decided.

    It's for the best, really.
