Hot Take: "Outer Banks" Was A Fantastic TV Show But The Last Two Episodes Absolutely Ruined It

🚨Obviously, this post contains spoilers. 🚨

So, like a lot of people out there, I completely gave myself over to Outer Banks when it came out on Netflix.

    This show has absolutely everything!

Friendships so beautiful, it reminded me of the good ol' #squadgoals days.

An entire town rivalry worthy of Shakespeare.

Not to mention, a full-blown treasure hunt pulled straight out of a Nicholas Cage movie.

And, of course, I just have to talk about the whole ~vibe~ of this TV show. Never before have I wanted to pack up my bags and go live in a coastal shack, but with Outer Banks I was nearly out the door before I remembered self-iso.

I've spent most of last month imagining myself running my fingers through John B's hair, or giving JJ the hug that he obviously needed!!

I was well and truly obsessed.

All up until the last two episodes, because seriously, WTF?

All Sarah had to do was go tell LITERALLY ANYONE what she witnessed and John B would have been fine!

And don't even get me started when she FINALLY goes to tell someone, her dad lies and says that Sarah has just been diagnosed with bipolar disorder to discredit her story.

And I get that it's a sad commentary about how young women still don't have the agency they deserve, but c'mon, Outer Banks this just seemed like drama for drama's sake.

TL;DR: Sarah could have saved John B two episodes earlier than the finale and it was frustrating as heck to watch.
