Someone Pointed Out That Vans Land Facing Up When You Throw Them So I Tried It For Myself
"It's so satisfying."
Recently, a profound revelation was made by Twitter user @Ibelievthehype — Vans land face up when you throw them.
Did you know it doesn’t matter how you throw your vans they will land facing up
And you might think that's a fluke, but other people were inspired to try and LOOK.
@Ibelievthehype
Check out the landing after this super high toss.
@Ibelievthehype So I felt y’all were throwing them to soft so I went outside and..
Or this dramatically delayed flip.
@Ibelievthehype @LookItsSam_ I...
Someone threw several pairs separately...
@Ibelievthehype dude it’s so satisfying
...and another person threw several pairs at one!
@Ibelievthehype I’VE NEVER BEEN SO ENTERTAINED
Of course, there were a few naysayers peppered in who saw different results, like this person's shoes that landed on their sides.
@Ibelievthehype FALSE
(Their shoes sort of bumped into each other, so perhaps that's why it didn't work.)
So, after seeing such a high success rate, I decided to try tossing a pair of Vans myself, and...

It worked! A few tosses from different heights got the same result. While we may not know the physics behind why this happens, I think we can all appreciate how random and cool it is.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go try random things with every other type of shoe I own to see what magical things they might be capable of.
