First, line a small bowl with a 12-inch sheet of plastic wrap.
Spray the plastic wrap with nonstick spray. THIS IS IMPORTANT.
Crack an egg into the plastic wrap-lined bowl.
Pull in the sides of the plastic wrap and twist them together, making sure there are no air bubbles around the egg. You're basically creating an airtight parcel for the egg.
Tie the plastic wrap tightly in a knot. Repeat with the other eggs.
Bring a pot of water to a simmer*, and drop the eggs in one at a time. Cook for 6 minutes.
After 6 minutes, remove the eggs one at a time with a spoon and set them aside on a plate.
You can serve them right away! Just cut right below the knot with a pair of scissors, then peel away the rest of the plastic wrap.

Plastic Wrap Poached Eggs
Makes 6 eggs

6 large eggs
6 (12-inch) sheets heatproof plastic wrap
6 very small bowls
1 medium pot
1 large metal spoon (preferably slotted)
Lay a sheet of plastic wrap over each bowl, so that the sheet is pressed into the center of the bowl but there's still plenty of overhang around the edges. Spray the center of each sheet with nonstick spray, then crack an egg into each bowl, in the center of each piece of plastic wrap. Pull in the sides of the plastic wrap and use your fingers to make sure there's no air around the eggs as you twist and then tie the plastic wrap to make tight parcels.
In a medium pan, bring at least four inches of water to a simmer. Carefully drop all the egg parcels into the simmering water, and cook for 6 minutes. Remove the egg parcels from the water with a slotted spoon and set aside on a plate. Let sit for about a minute, just so they're cool enough to handle. Carefully cut the parcels right under the knot, making sure not to puncture the egg. Unpeel the rest of the plastic wrap, and serve! We put ours on English muffins with Canadian bacon and melted cheese, but you can do whatever you're ~feeling~.
