MYTH: You can't wear a lot of cute makeup looks because they won't flatter your hooded eyes. The previous statement IS NOT TRUE, and we can prove it to you.
Before we start, let's find out if you actually have hooded lids. Do your eyes have a crease?
If you do, draw a straight line across your eyes and see if the outer corners pull up or down.
If they don't turn up or down (aka they are just straight), ask yourself one last question: Is your crease visible?

1. Here's a quick one: add a bright pop of color to the inner corner of your eye.
2. Use a brighter/lighter/shinier shade in the center of your eyelid over your transition shade.
3. Use a white or light colored eyeliner to draw a tight line right at your bottom lash line to make your eyes look bigger.
4. Add eye shadow to your under-eye area (after concealer, of course).
5. A cat eye, or winged liner, is probably the biggest struggle for small-lidded folks, but here's a quick and easy trick.

8. It's best to apply makeup with your eyes open, because it can be hard to find your natural crease with your eyes closed.
9. Apply your eyeshadow of choice just above where you're marking your crease as opposed to in the natural fold of your eyelid. This basically creates a new crease, which is super important so that your eyeshadow doesn't get lost when your eye is open.
10. If you're a beginner at applying eyeshadow, try this foolproof straight-line technique.
It'll give hooded lids the illusion of lifted eyes.
11. If you're using false eyelashes, it's important to choose the right shape for your eye!
