In honor of Ai Weiwei’s efforts to expose censorship and corruption within the Chinese government, sculptor He Xiangyu created a life-size sculpture of the artist/activist lying face down as if tragically killed.
According to Australia’s ABC News, the realistic portrayal of Weiwei’s death has been all to convincing as several witnesses have called the police to report the disturbing scene.
