Bin Laden Killed
The month of May began with the biggest news story of the century so far.

Although victory celebrations erupted across the US, it soon became apparent from Facebook messages that conspiracy theorists, naysayers, and ignorant kids couldn’t comprehend the gravity of the situation.
Elsewhere online, image macros, headswaps, and all sorts of memetic iterations poured forth, including a wide variety of parody videos. Amidst the larger story of Bin Laden’s death was a renewed interest in military dogs.
Evangelical Christian and owner of Family Radio, Harold Camping declared that May 21st would be the date of the biblical Rapture. In the lead-up to the Holy event, views and sharing of rapture-themed posts sky-rocketed, including 50 Reasons Why The World Is Definitely Ending, and 32 Pictures You Need To See Before You Die.
