5 High School K-Dramas That Are Worth The Watch

Who doesn't love a good high school K-drama?

    1. Hi! School - Love On

(from left to right): Shin Woo-Hyun (played by Nam Woo-Hyun), Lee Seulbi (played by Kim-Sae-Ron), Hwang Sung-Yeol (played by Lee Sung-Yeol)

One of the best dramas I've watched, Hi! School - Love On will take you on a very emotional roller-coaster. You'll be laughing and crying over and over again. Trust me, I've re-watched this drama so many times that I've lost count. This is one of those dramas that you just can't get tired of.

The drama stars Kim Sae-ron, Nam Woo-hyun, and Lee Sung-yeol. It is about an angel who wants to know more about human beings and accidentally becomes a human being after trying to save someone.

    2. Solomon's Perjury

(from left to right): Han Kyung-Moon (played by Jo Jae-Hyun), Ko Seo-Yeon (played by Kim Hyun-Soo), Han Ji=Hoon (played by Jang Dong-Yoon)

I'm gonna be straightforward here. If you aren't watching this because you think it will be boring, I would like to say excuse me? This drama has such heart-wrenching scenes that I cried so many times. It allowed me to see things in a different light and honestly exceeded my expectations by billions. Solomon's Perjury is such a masterpiece and I still regret telling my friend that there was no way I'd watch it.

Starring Kim Hyun-Soo, Jang Dong-Yoon, Seo Ji-Hoon, Seo Young-Joo, and Jo Jae-Hyun. Solomon's Perjury is about digging into what really happened regarding the death of a high school student. With adults trying to close the case quickly, a group of high school students decide to hold a school trial in order to fight for the truth.

    3. The Heirs

(from left to right): Cha Eun-Sang (played by Park Shin-Hye), Kim Tan (played by Lee Min-Ho)

I wish I had watched this sooner.

The Heirs is such an amazing drama and the way the drama progresses with each episode is just on another level. If you haven't watched this yet, I really recommend checking it out!

Starring Lee Minho, Park Shin-hye, and Kim Woobin, The Heirs tells the story of Kim Tan (a rich heir) and Go Eun Sang, who wishes to live a better life.

    4. Who Are You: School 2015

(from left to right): Gong Tae-Kwang (played by Yook Sung-Jae), Lee Eun-Bi/Go Eun-Byeol (played by Kim So-Hyun), Han Ian (played by Nam Joo=Hyuk)

One of the best high school dramas I've watched, Who Are You: School 2015 really had me hooked. It is so meaningful and I think that every teen can relate to this in some way or another. Even if you aren't a teen anymore, I'm sure you'll love this drama a lot. Deffo a must-watch!

The drama stars Nam Joo-Hyuk, Kim So-Hyun, and Yook Sung-Jae. It focuses on Lee Eun-Bi (played by Kim So-Hyun) who starts living as her twin sister, Go Eun-Byeol (also played by Kim So-Hyun)

    5. School 2017

(from left to right): Han Soo-Ji (played by Han Sun-Hwa), Song Dae-Hwi (played by Jang Dong-Yoon), Ra Eun-Ho (played by Kim Se-Jeong), Hyun Tae-Woon (played by Kim Jung-Hyun), Shim Kang-Myung (played by Han Joo-Wan)

TBH, I'm still watching this drama (I have four more episodes to watch), but I think it really deserves a mention. I have to say, I'm learning a lot from the drama. School 2017 is so heart-warming, inspiring, and definitely something I recommend watching!

If you've watched Who Are You: School 2015 but haven't watched School 2017 yet, you should definitely watch it.

Starring Kim Se-Jeong, Kim Jung-Hyun, and Jang Dong-Yoon, Han Sun-Hwa, and Han Joo-Wan, School 2017 looks at the problems that high school students can face. Students try their best to survive in a school that discriminates against rich and poor, and students with the best grades are believed to be the best students. This drama gives us a realistic view of the troubles that students face.

    Update: 05/08/2020

So, it's been quite a few days since I finished watching School 2017 and I have to say that the drama is basically a masterpiece. And may I just add that I absolutely love the storyline :) Please watch this if you haven't already.
