1. Watch Outlander.

My favourite thing is back just in time for autumn. I'll admit I wasn't totally enthralled by the end of last season when we SKIPPED 20 YEARS INTO THE FUTURE, but this season appears to be going back in time and exploring that period, which means less Jamie/Claire action but a lot of emotional payoff when they finally do find each other.

Watch it on Amazon Prime in the UK.

Or catch up on the new episodes of Strike, the miniseries based on Robert Galbraith, aka J.K. Rowling, on iPlayer.

2. Read Things a Bright Girl Can Do by Sally Nicholls.

The lovely book about teen activists inspired by the women's suffrage movement is a perfect balm to a frustrating world.

Get it on Amazon.

In a similar vein, I'm listening to Hillary Rodham Clinton's What Happened on audiobook, and it's tough but inspiring AF.

4. Download Snake Towers.

This cute little game is the next level from your old Nokia fav, classic Snake. You'll be addicted in no time.

Get it for iOS and Android.

Or try your hand at Push & Pop.

5. Make these mac n' cheese bun burgers.
