A banging, badass track + a cool video that will give you that sweet, sweet eclipse nostalgia (don't you miss that news?). Plus they've coupled it with a cool new constellation app, so you'll be entertained for days.

Or check out one of these excellent horror films on Netflix.

2. Read The Miseducation of Cameron Post by Emily M. Danforth.

Penguin

I haven't read this yet, but my colleague Ellie said it gave her "new faith in YA," and that's just where the good reviews start. Here's another encouraging response: "The Miseducation of Cameron Post is a wonderful, riveting read and a thought-provoking exploration about what it can be like to grow up gay in an unaccepting environment."

Get it from Amazon, or get the audiobook.

Or check out this stunning essay about solidarity.

3. Listen to this full-cast recording of Treasure Island.

Audible

This excellent version of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic features CATHERINE TATE on its cast, so how can you say no? It's a delightful adventure and a perfect commute listen, you get get it for under a tenner.

Get it from Audible.

Or like, I don't know if you heard or anything, but Taylor Swift has a new track out?

4. Download Super Phantom Cat 2.

iTunes

This game is my new obsession. It's an adorable little platformer that's just the right amount of simple and addictive. What's weirdly nice about it is that if you, like me, need some limitations on your screen time, there's a set number of levels you can play in an hour, so you can take a break and then be forced to go back to work, which I find oddly comforting.

Get it on iTunes and Google Play.

Or check out this handy flashcard app that will help you learn all kinds of facts and vocab.

5. Cook these Chicken Masala-Wrapped Eggs.

Facebook: video.php

A spicy take on a pub classic, for when you can't decide between a curry and good old fashioned Scotch egg after a few too many pints.

Or make this delicious mango lime cheesecake.

6. Try something new in your area, like this museum treasure hunt in London.

instagram.com

Ailbhe says: "So, THATMuse stands for "Treasure Hunt At The Museum", and it's super fun. It's a scavenger hunt set across different museums (I tried the one at the British Museum, but you can also do it at the Louvre, the V&A and more). Split into teams, you have a little over an hour to track down all the items. And even though you're told the location of each one (for example "viking treasure, room 13), it's harder than you'd think. It's especially good if there's a museum you've never had the chance to fully explore – for example, I discovered incredible rooms in the British Museum I'd never seen before. "

If you're in London, check out THATMuse at the V&A on Friday 25th August.

Or treat yourself to some very satisfying stationery.
