Just 27 Gifts Under $20 You'll Be Tempted To Buy Almost Immediately

Because you've got less than 20 days to scratch everyone off your list, guys 😬

    1. A set of nostalgic NES cartridge coasters that'll bring your giftee back to their simple childhood days when they spent hourssss playing Super Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong in their mom's basement.

a reviewer's coaster collection which includes Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, Duck Hunt, and Excitebike

    2. Mystic Maze — a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle with all sorts of optical illusions and more than 50 easter eggs for your friend to discover along the way. And, perhaps best of all, NO PUZZLE DUST. Yes! That's a promise!

    3. A pair of prism spectacles for the recipient who always has a boatload of work to get done but just can't drag themselves out of bed... Now, they can still clock in or finish that essay they've been dragging their feet on without even sitting upright.

    4. A big ol' bag of powdered cheddar cheese because the dinky packets macaroni comes with are just not even close to enough.

    5. A set of nail decals in a dark starry design or black and gold snake motif that'll have people asking them how they can afford such detailed manicures every week.

    6. A self-watering planter for the succulent lover who can barely down enough H2O themselves. The felt tongues suck up ~just~ enough water for plants to thrive and once they've outgrown their adorable lil' pots, they can be replanted.

the mini self-watering planters in dog, frog, cat, and panda designs

    7. An initial pendant on a box chain if they want to keep their boo close at heart. Or, actually, their dog — I'd probably want one for my dog.

    8. A strawberry Pocky AirPod case that's not only an *incredibly* perfect shade of pink, but also functionally sound as it makes it much easier to track down their headphones in the black hole that is their errand-running tote bag.

    9. The I Love Trader Joe's Cookbook with 150 different recipes that incorporate ~delish~ ingredients from the World's Best Grocery Store™

    10. A wine/can holder because sometimes, a bath bomb just isn't enough. Real ones know that true R&R involves a chilled glass of sickly sweet Barefoot attached securely to their shower wall — not perched precariously on the lip of their tub.

    11. A pair of scrunchie-style Apple Watch bands that won't pinch their wrist or leave them with an angry red circle of skin. If they're already used to wearing hair ties, there's really no difference!

    12. An adult coloring book with simultaneously humorous/disturbing illustrations that'll make them ~uncomfy.~

The front of the coloring book which shows a cat on a skateboard

    13. A bottle of plant-based cuticle oil if their nails have been hurting from recent cold weather. The natural formula hydrates dry skin and strengthens nails so they can work on growing them out, if that's something they've always dreamt of doing!

    14. A pound of cereal marshmallows if they're really only buying Lucky Charms for the charms (duh) and tossing away the rest. 😬

Promising review: "Amazing! I put them in hot chocolate, Rice Krispies treats, other cereals, or just eat then by the handful. Impulse buy that totally worked out." —Maddison Helsel

    16. A luggage-mounted cup caddy if your giftee is a frequent traveler and coffee is always HIGH on their list of airport priorities.

    17. A good ol' game of Cat-Opoly for the board game nerd who's also o.b.s.e.s.s.e.d. with their cat. The game works like classic Monopoly except properties are out and rare breeds (see: abyssinians, tonkineses, and Turkish vans) are in.

    18. A split cereal bowl for the breakfast lover who can't STAND soggy Frosted Flakes.

    19. A pair of trendy sunnies that look like Ray-Bans but will run you way, way less because I *did* promise only under-$20 gifts and I intend to deliver. 😎

    20. A teensy tiny Dash ice cream maker so they can whip up some mint chocolate chip froyo right at home — no need to leave the sweet, sweet embrace of their sweats and blanket burrito.

Promising review: "Convenient size to snuggle into even a VERY crowded freezer. I use Greek Yogurt as my base for everything I've tried so far. Mix in some blended fruit (maybe a bit of honey, if necessary) and put the mix in the freezer for about 45–60 minutes to get it well-chilled. Stir out any lumps and pour into the frozen mixer. WRAP the mixer in a dishtowel to keep it cold a bit longer (and tamper the bit of noise that some reviewers are complaining about), and then start the beater for about seven to eight minutes. You'll hear the motor start to strain when the bottom of the mix starts freezing hard, and at that point I turn it off (don't want to overwork the motor). Take that long spoon, stir up your creation and enjoy! This may sound like a lot of trouble, but besides being a good little dessert (or snack) I think it's a great alternative to making simple smoothies in my Vitamix! AND it's a real breakfast treat on hot summer mornings." —Amazon Customer

    22. A simply genius beard bib they can throw on and suction cup to their bathroom mirror when it's time for a trim because no matter how good of a clean they give their vanity after, they WILL find sharp lil' hairs on their bar soap, in their toothbrush, and all up in the drain, too.

Promising review: "Finally bought this for my husband and I’m not sure why I waited so long. He would always shave over a towel, ball the towel up to 'clean it up when he got home from work,' forget to tell me, and then I’d see it on the bathroom floor or counter, pick it up to throw it in the washer (unaware of what surprise was inside), and beard hair would go EVERYWHERE. My husband can fully shave and then he basically has a full beard again three days later, so this happened more times than I’d like to admit. PEOPLE, DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND BUY THIS NOW!" —Ashley Flaga

    23. A set of gorgeous etched glasses that pay homage to their hometown or perhaps the city where you first met. 💕

    24. veggie peeler shaped like a gigantic pencil sharpener because while your giftee may be in their 20s or 30s now, this silly gadget will be one of the only things capable of convincing them to eat carrots.

Promising review: "Silly gadget, but my son LOVES carrots and recently discovered the joy of cooking. He’s been perfecting carrot roses and now is willing to eat salads! Worth the money for that alone. I like the leaker side. I hate all the peelers I’ve ever bought because they fall apart while using. This one works and stays together pretty well." —Kristin

    26. A sequined pillow cover that, when brushed with the back of a hand, will reveal Dwight Schrute with the face he stole from a first aid dummy. Nothing to see here!
