Catnip-filled plushies, cactus-shaped scratchers, and robotic fish sure to pique the interest of even the most finicky feline.
Both of my cats love this but one, in particular, just can't get enough of this thing — especially in the middle of the night. More than once, I've woken up to her *punching* it and sliding it across the living room floor. She also loves to flip it over so it stands on the smallest tier and idk why but sure??
Promising review: "An instant hit in the house! My two highly energetic kittens loved the toy from the moment I unpacked it. I was thinking to get a similar cat chase toy with a scratching pad but I settled for this one at last and it may have been a better idea! It's a good toy for a multiple cat household as it has three tiers. A relief to know that the kittens can occupy themselves when nobody is home as this is neither powered by batteries or their humans. If only they stop attacking and my bathtub drainer when I am gone! Eww dudes! Highly recommended." —Tammy S.

Take it from BuzzFeed shopping writer Mallory Mower: "Not only does my cat sleep in this every day, she also loves playing fetch with the lightweight fruit. I often find her rolling the blueberries around the apartment. I dig having a pet bed that doubles as daily entertainment."

Promising review: "My cat LOVES this thing. She is constantly running up and down it and standing on top of it. Excellent quality and the rope is holding up well after a few months of heavy scratching. My cat would previously scratch on my couch, so I knew I had to get her another scratcher to put closer to it. But none I could find were more appealing than our couch until I bought this cactus. Haven't seen her scratch on the couch in months." —Tatiana

Legendary Pet Toys is a "meowyjane dispensary" with all sorts of cat toys featuring catnip, valerian root, silver vine, lemongrass, and honeysuckle.
Promising review: "One of my two cats, Nym, is obsessed with Q-tips. She plays fetch, attacks, catches, kills, and in general just adores them. No idea why, but I love the little weirdo. This seemed like the perfect present for her, and I was right! She is absolutely obsessed. Plan to buy one of each herb variation now! My initial purchase was of silver vine and catnip." —Pine Hodorowicz
Get it from Legendary Pet Toys on Etsy for $6.50+ (available with five different catnips and in nine colors).
The fish comes with a small bag of catnip as well as USB charger so you can juice it up whenever your cat kills the battery.
Promising review: "I'm never sure if a new cat toy will be received as well as I hope, but this one sure delivered! My three cats have been playing with it almost non-stop, except for when I have to take it away to charge it. One of them pretty much hogs it and the other two can't get near it, though they try. It took them a few minutes to realize that they had to touch it to get it to move when it stopped flopping, but once they understood it, they were off to the races. I can't speak to the durability of it, but since the cover can be removed for cleaning, I'm thinking it should last a long time — fingers crossed." —Amazon Gal

Both of my cats took to this as soon as we got it. They store their toys in there, nap in there, and make a wholeeee lot of biscuits. They have a few beds that they use but this one seems to be their favorite and I think the high walls are definitely why. Sometimes they use the sides as a pillow and other times they bury their heads into the interior and curl up in a little ball. My only complaint is that they don't sell one in my size. 😞
Promising review: "When I bought one of these, I thought 'They have 18 unused beds all over the place. Why do you think they'll use this one?' OMG, was I wrong! It came, I opened it and just tossed it on the floor. Immediately, Sassy was in it and slept in it all night. I put it on the couch and Magic crawled in. And Sassy cried and yowled. I ordered another. They're used every day and night. Now I need a third — Magic just had major dental work done so I put his bed on my bed so I could keep an eye on him that first night... Molly took it over, so Magic took Sassy's and Sassy tried to beat Molly up to get her bed back. Ended up with 2 a.m. zoomies. *sigh*" —oreosmeow

I bought this after seeing it in a TikTok video and if you have playful cats (or ones who love to attack your feet under the covers while you sleep), there's a good chance they'll love it as much as mine! It comes with a few different attachments and two noise settings — one for no noise (but be warned it isn't silent — it still makes a whirring mechanical noise) and one for chirping. My cats like to cheat by putting their paws into the holes and wrestling it out but it's held up well and they haven't broken it thus far!
PSA: It takes four C batteries which don't come included so make sure you buy those, too! (I got these Amazon Basics ones and they've worked well.)
Promising review: "I have a cat who is quite particular about the toys he plays with. Barely anything grabs his attention. I saw a commercial for this and then found it on Amazon. All I can say is, finally! I've finally found something that my cat is interested in! At first he was curious and watched it before deciding to pounce on it. I've noticed other reviewers stating the item they received is too fast. I didn't have that issue at all and the speed was actually perfect. My cat loves the feather attachment. I can't wait to try out the mouse attachment next." —Anthony

I have bought my cats a *shameful* amount of toys and at all different price points but these are some of their favorites. They carry them around in their mouth and I will never not go "OMG look at Clementine with the croissant!!!" or "I CAN'T with Salty and the ice cream cone!!!" to whoever is over my house or on FaceTime with me.
Promising review: "My two kitties (five months old) like these toys. They carry around the croissant and ice cream cones all over the house. The big cookie is a little harder for them to carry, maybe because of the shape." —emily bulat

Promising review: "I saw this when browsing Uncommon Goods and purchased it as what I thought would be a gag gift for my sister. Funny thing is... it actually works! Comments from my sister: 'My cat made my laptop keyboard unusable by treating it as a scratching post and popping the keys out. I finally gave up and purchased a cheap wireless keyboard to use with it. My sister gave me this cardboard laptop as a gift, which my cat now loves! I wish I had known about this earlier as my laptop would still be intact.'" —RedBirdWoman

Promising review: "My cat loves this toy. She is so picky and a lot of toys that I have purchased in the past are just not interesting to my cat BUT this one finally got her attention. Highly recommend purchasing this toy. It takes 3 AA batteries but it’s worth it." —Anna Russo

Here's more from BuzzFeed shopping writer Mallory Mower: "I started a hunting system for my cats when I felt like they were getting lethargic during the winter. One of our cats was overweight because he would sit and eat the dry food left out when he was bored. With these he'll 'hunt,' eat one, and not eat again until he's ready to go hunting. I've written a full review on this clever feeding system before because I refuse to stop recommending it!"

The toy runs off of one lithium ion battery which comes included!
Promising review: "My cat is super energetic, loves to play and hunt. This great toy keeps him busy when I'm working or cooking. He usually gets bored with toys very soon but the random pattern this toy has can entertain him for hours. He's also obsessed with the feather and will play with the feather even when the toy isn't moving. I'm very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone whose cat needs a lot of playtime!" —Anny

This is inexplicably my cat Clementine's favorite thing in the whole wide world. Whenever I think of Linus from the Peanuts, I think of his blanket, and whenever I think of Clemmy, I think of her string on a stick.
Promising review: "My husband says, 'It’s just a strip of cloth on a stick!' Yet our two boys know the cloth has just the right pattern, strength, and floatiness to make it fascinating to cat brains! When the strip is shaken rapidly in midair over their heads, the pattern appears to strobe and they go wacky! Good jumping exercise!" —dc99

The toys come with eight extra LR44 batteries and an installation tool so you'll get plenty of use out of them. They also automatically turn on/off when placed in water/removed from it so no battery is wasted between play seshs.
Promising review: "These are the cutest stinkin' toys, I can’t stop admiring them myself! The packaging is clean and beautiful, complete with extra batteries and a small screw driver. The fish floats just below the surface of the water with the rubber tail sticking out just enough for the kitties to actually fish it out — which they love! The tail changes speed/tempo every few seconds, allowing it to naturally swim in different directions and make ripples — truly mimicking a real fish. That gives it a realistic touch that I think keeps the cats interested, because if it just flapped around in a circle, it would be annoying. The lasers blink, and are cute, too. Definitely a successful playtime. My cats are now so interested in the sink and tub haha, even when empty. The only thing I can’t judge yet is battery life. We’ve played with them for a little over an hour total now, so, so far so good!" —Noelle Taylor

Promising review: "My cat simply loves this! He dives right into it, sometimes even doing somersaults into it, and it has really held up nicely! He's 15 pounds, so he's not small, and it bounces right back into place after he pounces on it. It moves with him, and has provided hours of entertainment for him and for me! Highly recommend for active cats." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "I like it because it doesn't take up a lot of space and I can easily move it to clean around. But it isn't about ME is it?! SHE loves it because she can climb all over it. Drape herself over the side and play with the hanging toys. Hide in the cubby and dart out a me. Some say the hole is too small for big cats. Then either slice it or use it for toy storage. RAWR TOYS! I don't see this as an issue ever. Don't let that stop you. Well made, no assembly. Hours of fun and a place to nap between rounds." —Ellen

Promising review: "I've spent a crap ton on toys for my picky cat only for him to ignore them. My co-worker gave me one of these unassuming bananas and it's like crack for cats! He cant get enough! I got three for backup. They are crazy durable (I don't clip his claws) and the right size to hold and kick. Smoosh and twist to activate the catnip and he's ready to play. This is a staple in his toy box now." —Lan

It took a few days for my cats to warm up to this, but once they did, they were enamored. Whenever I can't find them, chances are they're in here. They like to use it as a space to spy on us because they seemingly think they can see us but we can't see them? Man they're so weird but I love 'em. Also, I gotta say that I loveee that there is zero assembly required — you just pop it out of a box. The sphere is also pretty rigid, so it stands up well to scratching, rubbing, and general rough play.

Promising review: "Bought this bundle for my three cats. They love it all!!! The tunnel is bigger than I expected. It can fit all three of my 1+ year old, average weight, female, domestic short hairs. Tight fit with all three of them but bigger than I thought anyway! Room to run and turn around. The toys are super fun!!! So many fun colors and textures — there’s something in here that each of my cats likes. I think this is a great deal!!!!" —Eli

This is one of the first things I bought after adopting my twin cats Salty and Clementine and I'm SO happy I did. They took to it immediately and not only use it as a scratching post and people-watching perch, but they also sleep on it and chase each other up and down it.
Promising review: "I have two cats — one who's 18 pounds and one who's 10 pounds. They both love this cat tree. Received it in three days. I thought I would have to anchor it but so far no problems. They love being able to sit on top and watch everything going on outside. I have it in a corner and it is very stable and I don't think I will have to anchor it to a wall. They sleep on it and chase each other up and down on it all day. Would highly recommend this tree. I am 65 and put it together myself." —Kimmie

I've had this toy for ~two years now and even though the catnip has long warn off, it's still my cat Salty's favorite toy. She chases it up and down the hall (it has great weight so it's easily toss-able) and she likes to lick and groom the feathers as if they were another cat and I just find that SO freaking cute.
Promising review: "Over the years we have had several cats and every one of them has had their own carrot. I don't know what it is about these carrots but all of our cats love them. Occasionally I will see a green feather floating through the air so I know they have been playing with them. Great toy for all cats." —murrielsett
