Ricky told Telemundo, “When the public found out, we had already gone through a grieving process."

"We have two children that we are going to raise together, and this is not a recent decision," he continued. "We have been planning this situation for a long time — it’s pre-pandemic."

Ricky shares daughter Lucia, 4, and son Renn, 3, with Jwan. He also has a set of twin boys, Matteo and Valentino, who he welcomed in 2008 with the help of a surrogate.

"We knew this had to happen for our own good and for the well-being of our children," Ricky said of their divorce.

And now, he says he and Jwan are "better than ever."

“We look into each other’s eyes and smile, we hug each other, and we go through the ups and downs, we cry together, and we laugh together,” he continued. "It was seven or eight years [with Jwan]."

Ricky also said that after coming out of a long-term relationship, he wants to "enjoy life" for a bit and "take it easy." But he also said, "Yes, I do see myself in another relationship," eventually.
