Pink said she loves, loves, LOVES Madonna — but it doesn't seem like Madonna is much of a fan of hers.
In fact, Pink says the singer actually "doesn't like" her at all.
The "Blow Me" hitmaker admitted to having a tense relationship with Madonna during the Feb. 22 episode of The Howard Stern Show.
“Madonna doesn’t like me,” she said directly.
Pink explained that in general, people don't always mesh well with her because of her "polarizing" personality. “Some people just don’t like me. … I’m a polarizing individual.”
But with Madonna, she claimed there was a deeper reason behind the tension between them. "She tried to kind of play me on Regis and Kelly, and no. I'm not the one," she said.
“She was such an inspiration to me," Pink added, "but it sort of got twisted around that I was, like, fangirling and was dying to meet Madonna, when in actuality she invited me into her dressing room. And so, I just said a joke when Regis brought me out. He's like, 'How does it feel to meet [Madonna]? I mean, I heard you're just falling over yourself backstage. How does it feel?' I’m like, ‘I thought she wanted to meet me.’ That didn't work out. It didn't work out for us."
But Pink says despite what happened, she still considers herself a fan of Madonna. "I fucking love Madonna. I love her no matter what. Like, I still love her, no matter what."
So far, Madonna hasn't addressed any of this, but she did tell Ellen a few years ago that she "like[d]" Pink and thought she was "cool." So yeah!
