I Actually Tried That Black Ice Cream And Here's What It Tasted Like

For when you want to eat ice cream but you don't feel like being cute about it.

I recently learned that there's an ice cream shop here in New York that serves "Coconut Ash" ice cream, and it's BLACK. It get its color from activated charcoal, and it's metal AF.

It's served at one of NYC's most popular ice cream spots, Morgenstern's Finest Ice Cream, where the line is almost always out the door.

It's been getting a lot of attention on Instagram and the ~internet at large~, so naturally, I had to go check it out. After waiting for half an hour, I finally ordered my scoop.

I eagerly awaited my ice cream. This is me before:

AND THIS IS ME AFTER. SO METAL.

Yes, this ice cream turns your teeth black. I loved it, since any step closer to being a badass witch is cool with me.

As for the flavor: The coconut was pretty mild, and I found the overall flavor refreshing. Like a subtle vanilla. I felt dumb for ordering a different flavor "just in case" (SO NOT METAL), but honestly, I got to eat two ice creams, so who am I to complain?

💀❤️ Love you, charcoal ice cream ❤️💀
