Being a film critic must be a an awful profession. How can you enjoy any movie when you have to concentrate on every single detail. Godzilla is about sitting back and taking it all in and enjoying the ride. I can agree with some aspects of what he saying, I didn’t connect emotionally with the main characters enough to care what happened to them. But their story helped move the overall plot line forward very nicely. The story was well thought, the direction in this movie was superb. At then end of the day I came to watch a Godzilla movie and not Shawshank Redemption. Relax and don’t take these movies so seriously.
