Meet Jeremy Thurber.
I'll keep his stats brief. Lives in LA, singer/songwriter, helped write Jake Miller's Collide, and Sarah DeBono's Oasis, to name a couple. He's now trying to make a name for himself, coming out from behind the pen and paper and stepping up to the microphone.
His debut single, Buzzkill talks about something that everyone has dealt with before. It could be a girl (or guy) that's just a total pain the ass, the power being turned off, a blown tire. We've all experienced that something that's ruined all of our fun before, a buzzkill. This song celebrates those hiccups in life, how much of a pain they can be, and how they simply need to "go away." He's fun, edgy, and unafraid to say what's on his mind. This year, he's working on his EP #Solo, due out this summer. Keep an ear out for the surprise-packed, club banger, Falcon described by Thurber himself as "one of the most fun songs I've ever done," and my personal favorite on the EP, the acoustic driven ballad Problem Child, the song Thurber says is his "most personal."
Thurber's journey doesn't stop with an EP. On June 7th, he is slated to perform at LA Pride, opening for Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson. Keep your eyes on this one folks, cause he's just getting started, and with summer close at hand, the only thing I can think of is enjoying an ice cold beverage in that signature red cup, while playing Thurber's #Solo at full volume in my backyard.
