When you know roll call is being conducted in class, and eventually you have to give some indication you're, say, "present", don't say anything. Stare at your teacher/professor/unlikely long term substitute in confidence. Let them know you seek more than just your existence in a classroom setting, but your shared existence with this academic experience with your educator. If one of you cry it means it probably worked. If it didn't, try again another semester, maybe learn a bit more by watching the documentary on Netflix.

2. Read your Ashton Kutcher fanfiction

3. Make a Powerpoint presentation on yourself

Are you an organizational kind of person?? Here's one I whipped up pretty quick. See what I did here? "THIS SUMMER" really pulls attention to my slide. "cried" is a different font, and I put my name because plagiarism isn't cool!!! Be sure to change my name if you choose to use this as a template, or your teacher might fail you.

The possibilities are endless with Powerpoint, and can really separate you from the rest. Be persistent if your teacher tries to tell you you can't give a Powerpoint presentation during roll call. If she does, try to bargain that your class should never use Powerpoint then, you'll be a hit with your fellow youths.

4. Ice Bucket Challenge yourself

Instead of the predictable "here!" or, "present!", or if you're asked to give a fun fact about yourself, just stand up, casually pull the ice bucket out of your school bag, and announce: "Hi my name is (insert name) and this is my ALS ice bucket challenge." Be sure to watch this video to make sure you get it right!

This is definitely memorable, but make sure to bring extra clothes to change in, as your teacher will probably dismiss you to change, if not send you home right then and there. Your classmates will love that you're so thoughtful towards charity, that you'd do anything to avoid donating.
