The 2016 Women's Olympic Gymnastics Team Is Amazing And OMG

*Why am I fangirl screaming right now what is happening why can't I stop*

For many of us, the Summer Olympics mean one thing and one thing only: Women's Gymnastics, baby.

Now you might be a tad bitter because you loved the 2012 Fierce Five with all of your heart — duh — and can't imagine the Olympics without them...

...but, everyone, it's going to be OK...

...BECAUSE THIS YEAR'S TEAM IS SO BEAUTIFULLY EPIC.

Here they are: @Simone_Biles, @lzhernandez02, @Aly_Raisman, @gabrielledoug and @MadisonKocian! #RioReady

USA Gymnastics

The team is made up of Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian, Aly Raisman, and Gabby Douglas, AND THEY ARE ALL SO GOOD AND TALENTED AND GREAT AND WONDERFUL AND TALENTED.

So, guys, it's time to study up on the five kick-ass athletes that are going to steal our hearts this summer. Because, let's be real — they deserve all of our attention.

Simone Biles

~Fun Fact~: The 19-year-old from Texas loves watching Pretty Little Liars and Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Yeah, she's pretty good: Sure, Biles might have been too young to qualify for the 2012 Olympics, but, whatever, she's been busy winning literally everything. The 4-foot-9 athlete is the first female gymnast since 1974 to win four consecutive all-around titles at the U.S. national championships. Oh, and also, she's won 14 total world championships medals, which is the most ever won by an American woman. Casual.

Her event to end all events: OK, so you can't pick just one for Biles. (But, considering she was the only athlete on the current team to automatically qualify based on her all-around score, that's a fair statement.) Definitely look out for her floor exercise and balance beam routine because she's the reigning world champion in both events. But also watch everything else because she is great.

Basically, she's the best:

Laurie Hernandez

~Fun Fact~: The 16-year-old is from New Jersey, and is the first US-born Hispanic athlete to make the team since 1984. (Also, her favorite movies are Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Age of Adaline.)

Yeah, she's pretty good: At the 2016 P&G Championships, she finished third in all-around.

Her event to end all events: Her floor routine! (You just have to wait and see the magic. She's definitely the crowd-favorite on the floor.)

Aly Raisman

~Fun Fact~: The 22-year-old from Massachusetts loves Celine Dion.

Yeah, she's pretty good: She walked — or pranced — away from the 2012 Olympics as the most decorated U.S. gymnast: gold in the team competition, gold on the floor exercise, and bronze on balance beam. More recently, she won silver on the balance beam and floor at the 2016 P&G Championships.

Her event to end all events: If it isn't clear already, WATCH HER FLOOR AND BALANCE BEAM ROUTINES.

Basically, she's also the best:

Madison Kocian

~Fun Fact~: The 19-year-old from Texas has a crush on literally all of the Texas Rangers.

Yeah, she's pretty good: She's the 2016 U.S. uneven bars silver medalist and the 2015 World team and uneven bars (tie) champion.

Her event to end all events: Uneven bars! Guys, she's really good.

Where to follow her: Twitter and Instagram.

Basically, she's also the best:

Gabby Douglas

~Fun Fact~: The 20-year-old, who is originally from Virginia, says she might have tried out stand-up comedy if she wasn't an athlete.

Yeah, she's pretty good: She made history at the 2012 Olympics when she became the first African-American gymnast to become the individual all-around Olympic champion as well as the first female gymnast to win gold in both team and individual all-around in the same Olympics.

Her event to end all events: Those uneven bars, baby. It's the US Team's weakest event, and they're hoping Gabby can help them out.
