The first trailer for the Ghostbusters reboot is finally here and it is AWESOME.

SO. AWESOME.
This time around, four badass women — Erin (Kristen Wiig), Abby (Melissa McCarthy), Jillian (Kate McKinnon), and Patty (Leslie Jones) — set out to save New York from a villain who's amplifying paranormal activity in the city.

Which basically means there are going to be hella ~spooky~ ghosts everywhere.
"These are four of the funniest people on the planet right now, and they are going to make you laugh whether you admit that they do or not," director and co-writer Paul Feig told BuzzFeed.

Right off the bat, it looks like we get another terrifying library ghost, just like in the original. And there is some serious ectoplasmic residue happening.

The new Ecto-1 is lookin' fresh.

And we get our first glimpse of the ladies' really hot receptionist, Chris Freakin' Hemsworth.

Oh, and one more very important thing: THAT IS SLIMER. SLIMER IS HERE. AT A HOTDOG STAND.

For all those Ghostbusters superfans out there, Feig suggests looking at that Times Square scene a little more closely to catch some hidden Easter eggs.
Feig joked that, following the backlash over the female casting choices, they toyed with the idea of making a "special trailer" where "it's all [the women] breaking a nail, dress shopping, trying on hats," but then they were like, "Let's not."

"We really don't want to play into that. These are four of the funniest people working today and that's what the original Ghostbusters was."
And, woman oh woman, are we glad this is the trailer we got. Ghostbusters opens in theaters July 15.
