I Watched Hamilton And I Have A Few Thoughts.

So, as I'm sure most of you know, Hamilton came out on Disney+. I was extremely impressed. I've been listening to the music for a while, and I've been a huge fan of Lin and his work, but seeing it on broadway never happened, as much as I wanted it to. When this came out, I was excited, to the EXTREME. I was surprised that they got all of those camera angles on point during a live show and I think it was lucky that they had this treasure of a musical pre-recorded during these times.

Anthony Ramos is HOT.

I mean, all of the original cast members are hot but John Laurens and Philip really had me crying. Anthony is taken by our Peggy, though. LOVE THEM.

Hamilton was a jerk.

This one, to me, is pretty obvious. He literally cheated on his wife with a married woman. He just couldn't say no, and in the process, he broke our cinnamon roll's heart. :(

Every Eliza and Philip moment was the sweetest.

You can't deny this fact- Eliza and Philip had such a cute relationship. My personal favorite was when they were counting together.

They dragged Hamilton's death out so much that it wasn't emotional for me.

His death was a very important part of the story, but before he was shot he was rapping about dying so I was basically just like "okay, he's gonna die now..." In addition, I knew that he was going to be shot by Burr... but that's not the point. Since it was dragged out beforehand, for me it just wasn't a tear jerker.

Peggy was so irrelevant.

"And Peggy..." Despite her irrelevance, her vocals were still top-notch and she had no drama so I'd totally be friends with her.

Who Lives, Who Dies and It's Quiet Uptown are the saddest songs.

It's Quiet Uptown is emotional for me because Eliza and Alexander found their love again and the song showed their visible struggle with the fact that Philip died. Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story is sad for me mostly at the part where Eliza talks about the orphanage. These are both pretty damn good songs!

The king was the best

Philip's death was the saddest.

Again, Hamilton's death just didn't hit hard enough. In addition, Eliza's scream when he passed was heartbreaking.

I'm still seeing the musical once Broadway opens back up. :)

Although this is a permanent addition to Disney+, seeing the live show would be such a great experience, and much more interactive. If you have Disney+, watch this if you haven't already. If not, borrow a friend's account! It will be so worth it!
