Numerous parodies have surfaced in response to the now infamous Free People ad, but AKP Film & Media has produced a short film entitled, "Be Lovely," that emphasizes the grace and beauty associated with ballet.
In comparison to the ad (left), trained dancer Kylie Potuznik shows off the proper and effortless form of a ballerina.
In the first short film of the series, Potuznik emphasizes the power and elegance of dance.
The footwork in particular angered dancers everywhere, as you can see how strikingly different the two moves are.
Creators Alex Palmer & Kelsey Alexander were inspired by the new Free People Movement line, and commented, "Dance has an amazing ability to take us away from our busy lifestyles, and reminds us we need to stop, take a breath, and be in our element."
