We Asked People To Tell Us About Their Favorite Childhood Comfort Foods

Everyone has that one dish that brings back the warm fuzzy feelings of childhood. What's yours?

Campbell Soup Company is celebrating 150 years of making delicious and affordable food accessible to all! To celebrate Campbell's birthday, we asked people to share their favorite comfort foods. Here's what they said:

1. Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup

"My mom's go-to comfort food when I stayed home sick from school was a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. It's a very specific recipe: The sandwich is white bread with two American cheese squares and a lot of butter on the bread. The soup MUST be made with 1/2 can of water and 1/2 can of milk to make it creamier. Then she'd put a drop or two of tabasco sauce in the soup to give it a little bit of kick. For me, this is the ultimate comfort food!"

2. Goldfish Crackers

"Goldfish crackers were the reward for everything. I'd get a handful of Goldfish if I cleaned up all my toys; a handful of Goldfish for sharing with my brother. Now, whenever I eat Goldfish, it feels like I'm rewarding myself. I've started this tradition with my kids, too!"

3. Chocolate Pudding 'n' Marshmallows

"Every now and then, my siblings and I would get home from school to discover that Mom had come home from work early (which was great because she usually worked really late). Whenever she came home early, she'd make little bowls of chocolate pudding with marshmallows in them. That was like her little 'surprise, I'm home early' treat, and it was just instant happiness."

4. Milano Cookies

"My dad LOVED those Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies. And he still does! When I was little, those Milano cookies were like my ultimate goal in life. I wanted to get Dad's Cookies! I remember the first time he gave me my own Milano cookie, and it was basically the greatest day of my short life up to that point. I finally got one of Dad's Cookies! My. Mind. Was. BLOWN."

5. Canned Ravioli

"My mother always did the cooking in our house because my dad was terrible at it. The only thing he could make was canned ravioli, because it was impossible to mess up. All you do is dump the can into a pot and heat it up. We only had Dad's canned ravioli on rare occasions when my mom wasn't home for dinner, like maybe she had a PTA meeting or something. On those rare nights, we got to eat 'Dad's Special Ravioli.' We would get SO excited! In hindsight, it was a clever move by my dad, because he made sure that our favorite dinner was the cheapest, easiest thing you can possibly make."

6. Grandpa's Pretzels

"I was raised by my grandparents, and my grandpa's favorite snack was those big Snyder's pretzels. Every day when he came home from work, he would sit down to watch the news with a few pretzels, and he would give me one. It became our bonding time. He taught me fun little tricks, like how to take a bite out of the pretzel without getting crumbs everywhere (a huge accomplishment for a little kid!). He passed away a long time ago, but I still love those big Snyder's pretzels."

7. Tortillas With Cinnamon and Sugar

"My mom used to put tortillas in the microwave until they got sort of crispy and crunchy. Then she'd put a little bit of melted butter on them and sprinkle a bunch of cinnamon and sugar on top. It was so good! I probably ate a hundred tortillas dulces every summer."
