Smarties haven’t been British since Nestlé bought Rowntree Mackintosh and moved product abroad in 2006. Nowadays, like all Nestlé products, they’re best avoided, especially if you have any sort of social conscience about their unpleasant business practices.

BBC licence is worth every penny for the lack of adverts. Here in Ireland, we payalicence and we *still* get adverts on the channels we’re paying it for.
