Rainbow Rowell’s “Carry On”. It’s uniquely realistic for a fantasy book and it’s sweet and warm. One’s still questioning his sexuality, one’s still dealing with his destiny to harm his love, and it all mixes really well in the end to actually give it a happy ending. It’s adorable…
Captain Hook from Peter Pan. He was the captain of a ship, which is an honor. And little boy who couldn’t age cut off his hand! He had every right to be bitter.
Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty. All the fairies just keep blatantly NOT inviting her to parties. Sure she’s a little petty, but obviously the curse she put on the baby didn’t even work. Since she’s magical, she probably knew that and just did it to scare the rude and exclusive group…
Elio and Oliver from Call Me By Your Name had the cutest story. In that time and place, both their age difference and homosexuality was discriminated against. So it was good to see an adorable couple like them trying to get past all of that.
