1. An electric kettle for the tea and ramen lovers that'll have their water going from cold to boiling in a matter of seconds. Never 👏🏾 wait 👏🏾 for 👏🏾 hot 👏🏾 water 👏🏾 again.

The electric kettle on a counter in white.
Kit Stone / BuzzFeed

I used to drink tea, once in a blue moon — pretty much only when I was sick. After getting this kettle, tea became part of my daily routine. It made making tea fun, and the water was hot enough before my "tea mood" was over. I even use it to make hot water for ramen. In a matter of seconds, literally, the water is ready. And, if you want to get really fancy, you can set it to heat to an exact degree. I haven't worked up to using that feature yet but it's nice knowing that I have the power to do so. *evil laugh*

Get it from Amazon for $119 (originally $129.99; available in six colors).

2. A sensor mirror that'll elevate their vanity experience, giving them the perfect light to illuminate their natural beauty.

Promising review: "The mirror is sleek and leaves the vanity looking uncluttered. I love that the mirror turns on and off by itself. The two light modes are great for makeup application for low light and bright light situations." —Ann J.

Get it from Simple Human for $150 or from Amazon for $174.99+ (available in four colors).

3. An espresso machine because reviewers say is a godsend that can save you a trip and a few dollars by allowing you to make quality lattes from the comfort of your home. Coffee-lovers, you're welcome.,

Promising review: "I am really enjoying my new Nespresso machine. I have used it to make regular cups of coffee and also to make lattes. The frother that came with it works great and makes both hot and cold froth. I also bought a pod holder that you can put underneath the machine. I’m really glad I’ve got that storage space for the pods. I’ve had my machine a couple of weeks now and I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in a pod type of machine. Makes way better tasting coffee than my previous Keurig did." —K Dunn

Get it from Amazon for $174.97 (originally $249.95; available in five colors).

4. A neck serum made with crushed diamonds and Brazilian rose quartz to give your tech neck a little much-needed TLC.

A model rolling the neck serum onto their neck
Kaplan MD

I've never been the person to have an actual skincare routine, but as the years start to creep by, I've tried to pay a little more attention to things I'm putting in my body and on my skin. I'm relatively young, so at first, I didn't think this neck serum would have an actual affect on my skin but, I love to be proved wrong. While I don't have a significantly wrinkly neck, or sagging skin, I definitely noticed a change in the texture of the skin on my neck. Plus, it was super easy to use. Just roll it on and you're done. Any beauty product that takes little to no time to apply is something I can get behind.

Get it from Kaplan MD for $115.

5. An LG OLED TV if you're looking for pretty much the best picture quality you can get outside of going to the movie theater.

A reviewer photo of an LG OLED TV with The Witcher from Netflix on the screen

Promising review: "If you’re wondering if all the hype is true about this OLED TV, it is! I’m very picky when it comes to picture quality and even returned my TCL 75” TV because it didn’t meet my standards. But, this thing is AMAZING. The blacks are so black it will leave your room completely dark while watching dark scenes and adds an extra dimension and detail in scenes. The perfect black levels on this thing really are worth the extra cash. The moment you get this TV go to YouTube and search '8K OLED videos' and click the lion one. This is how you really see the TV shine. Besides 4K content, everything looks amazing on it. I must’ve watched four movies in a row once it was mounted. The mounting process was fairly easy, only took four screws and some extra hands. And the gaming? Incredibly low input lag and the graphics really shine. I tried Red Dead Redemption 2 on my PS4 and it just changed the experience all together. Overall, this TV is FANTASTIC. If you can, get the biggest one you can afford and have fun!" —Laila

Get a 55-inch TV from Amazon for $1,396.99 (originally $1,999.99; available in four sizes).

9. A Bartesian cocktail machine for that end-of-the-day bar-quality cocktail without actually having to go to the bar. It's like the Nespresso of cocktails that reviewers say is totally worth the splurge.

Hannah Loewentheil / BuzzFeed

BuzzFeed writer Hannah Loewentheil loves hers. In her own words:

"When I first caught wind of the Bartesian premium cocktail machine, my first thought was does anyone actually need this gadget? But after trying it for myself, I can say the answer is a firm YES, and here's why. I love making cocktails at home, and while I'm no bartender, I feel very comfortable shaking a spicy margarita, stirring a negroni, or whipping up a Pisco sour. But making craft cocktails at home requires many (often expensive) ingredients, bar tools, time and effort. With the Bartesian though, you can make fancy drinks with the click of a button — literally. Once you turn the Bartesian on, it prompts you to insert a cocktail capsule. The smart gadget recognizes the cocktail you're trying to make and will ensure you've placed the proper spirit in the bottle (I know, it's mind-blowing). Next, it prompts you to choose your cocktail strength (there's even a mocktail option), and to place a glass with ice underneath the spout. Next, the Bartesian will start pouring your craft cocktail. The whole process takes about 20 seconds and it's all very exciting. With many bars closed and people quarantining or feeling hesitant about going out to eat, this gadget allows you to make professional-quality cocktails at home."

Get it from Amazon for $349.99 or from Bed Bath and Beyond for $349.99.

10. A Dyson air purifier guaranteed to be worth the big bucks. This little baddie has truly been a lifesaver, ridding the air of pollutants and improving the air quality indoors.

The Dyson air purifier
Elena Garcia / BuzzFeed

BuzzFeed writer Elena Garcia swears by hers. Here's what she had to say:

"My husband suffered through what was honestly the scariest sickness of his life — COVID-19 — back in March and is still dealing with some of the side effects, mainly trouble with his breathing. He's OK now (for the most part). During his bout with COVID, not only could I not be at home with him to help but he was coping with what he described as his lungs giving up on him. His breathing was labored and painful, and it prevented him from being able to sleep at night. He still struggles and has this constant, short but deep, cough.

When the smoke and ash from the fires surrounding us started to really affect our air supply my husband felt it the worst. The weakness in his lungs was already there but the smoke triggered his labored breathing.

So when it came time to look for something to help us deal with both of those things, I wasn't here to play. I went with a brand I know, love, and that multiple people had recommended to us — Dyson. Specifically, the Dyson Pure Humidify + Cool. I don't want to be dramatic but I really think this thing is a cherry-flavored lifesaver and even my husband, who wouldn't spend a penny on anything if he could, said, "Wow. I really feel the difference."

Get it from Dyson for $799.99.

13. A pair of Sony wireless headphones with noise cancellation, a microphone for calling, and Alexa voice control that'll tick all their boxes. Treat them to something nice, even though you know they'll mostly be used for impromptu karaoke concerts while washing dishes.

The Sony wireless headphones in silver

Promising review: "I really enjoy this headset! It is expensive but worth it! It feels very light on your head. You can immediately notice some noise cancellation when you put the headset on even without it being powered up. The sound quality is top notch. One of my favorite features is being able to cover the right ear with your hand and it will immediately lower the volume so you can have a conversation with someone and it will return back to regular volume immediately once you stop covering it. The 30-hour battery life is amazing! It is very easy to control the volume/skip song with the swipe feature on the right ear." —David

Get it from Amazon for $278 (originally $349.99; also available in black).

14. An Apple TV streaming device so they can finally catch up on all the shows you've been going on and on about during your weekly check-ins.

The Apple TV streaming device

Subscription needed for certain apps like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video.

Promising review: "I recently switched to this new AppleTV 4K after using an Amazon Fire 4K device, Google Chromecast, and an older generation AppleTV. This is the most expensive of all of those mentioned, but Apple really makes the user interface elegant and seamless. With my 4K UHD TV, I am able to access a full range of video and audio controls because of the Dolby Vision integration. Ironically, the TV I use has a built in FireTV interface, and I can do way more to control the video and sound via the AppleTV 4K than I can through the native software on the TV itself. Because of this, I get a lot more out of the TV in terms of quality, and since I have a whole bunch of other Apple devices already, the TV seamlessly integrates with the whole ecosystem. The apps rarely freeze or glitch, which happens constantly with any Amazon Fire device that I've had, and the UI controls are the same throughout, which is also not the case with other Streaming TV platforms I've used. The system is also very fast, with little lag time or hiccups, which was also a constant issue with my FireTV devices. Overall, I'm very impressed with the AppleTV 4K and it is the primary way I access streaming content now." —Forrest

Get it from Amazon for $179+ (available in two storage sizes).

I washed upon receiving it and tested it out by leaving water in it through the weekend and letting it clean itself this morning; it had no smell or metallic taste like every other water bottle I’ve used. The wine opener on a bottle of wine with people gathered around it drinking glasses of wine

Promising review: "This is perfect for tasting our older bottles that we didn't really want to open yet. Aging older wines and knowing when to open them at their best has always been a challenge, but worry no more. Now we can get in and try our wines without opening the bottle. It was always such a disappointment to open a bottle and find that it was not quite ready, or we had just waited a little too long! So far, the preservation seems to work well and we can continue to store wines that are not quite at their peak. This has to be one of the best investments we've made for our wine cellar. Highly recommended!" —Mother Teresa

31. A Foreo Luna Mini 2 equipped with sonic pulsations that help to deep clean your face, ridding it of dirt, oil, dead skin cells, clogged pores, and makeup residue.

@Foreo / Via, Maitland Quitmeyer / BuzzFeed

Promising review: "In May 2019 I decided to buy my first Foreo device and I chose Luna mini 2 because of its value for money, its promising performance and its compact shape. Before using this device, I suffered from black spots and rednesses which made me feel quite uncomfortable. However, in a couple of months, I noticed some impressive results thanks to this product: I was particularly satisfied by the fact that a very ugly redness close to my nose was consistently reduced and now it's almost disappeared. To be honest, I wasn't expecting any particular miracle but now, after one year, I can say proudly that this product is MAGIC. My skin looked softer and brighter after the very first use, and if you are constant and patient you can also notice unbelievable improvements in terms of skin quality and homogeneity. 32. A Polaroid camera for capturing moments while you're quarantining apart for the holidays. Instead of simply uploading to social media, these snapshots become instant keepsakes and can also be sentimental gifts.,

Promising review: "I’ve been shooting instant film (expired Polaroid, Fuji and now Polaroid Originals’ Spectra/Image/1200 film) on the 600, SX-70, Image, Spectra, and type 1200 cameras respectively) for about a decade now. Each of the original instant film cameras have had their noticeable advantages and drawbacks from simple functionality to disadvantageous light sensitivity issues. Clearly, the designers of the Polaroid Originals OneStep+ were some sort of hybrid engineering/photographer collaborative effort. The OneStep+ feels right, makes sense, shoots wonderfully in a wide range of environments and is super reliable! Loving the attention to detail here as Polaroid Originals continues to develop next gen film at the rate of Moore’s law. Their camera is the no-brainer choice for me as I continue to strive to be the best photographer possible in both my professional and artistic endeavors." —Jan Watson

Get it from Amazon for $139.99 (also available in white).

34. A camping tent ready for an adventure that can sleep up to six people, and reviewers say can weather any storm.

The tent

Promising review: "Bought this model for my wife and me a year ago and used it for several trips in different situations. We had trips where the temps were in the '80s and just finished a trip in Michigan’s upper Peninsula where temps were down to 30 every night. We have also weathered severe thunderstorms and a night of sustained 40 mph winds. This tent was solid as a rock and hasn’t leaked a drop. The roof vents work well but I would recommend a way to velcro them closed for cold and windy situations. My wife was a little wary of tent camping and now has total trust in our gear. Highly recommend!" —Ifishngolf
