BuzzFeed’s Bring Me! today announced its first ever talent program showcasing a new class of Creators who will develop and star in Bring Me!’s original content across platforms. Led by American professional BMX athlete and filmmaker Nigel Sylvestor the five Creators will drive the brand’s biggest expansion yet into longer form content and new formats, building on Bring Me!’s growing slate of programming on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and branded integrations.
Bring Me! has become the largest and fastest-growing travel and experience publisher on the Internet, with more than 3 billion video views to date, an average of 4 million views per video, and growing reach in 189 countries around the globe. Since launching in early 2017 Bring Me! has become the No. 1 most-watched travel content amongst Gen Z.
“Bring Me! has revolutionized travel content consumption by listening to our audiences’ desire to experience new things and travel to unique destinations. With those key insights, we’ve evolved Bring Me!’s content to actually help our audience make plans and take action. As the next step in Bring Me!’s evolution, we’re excited to bring on five amazing Creators and wanderlusters to help our audience uncover new experiences and provide brands with new opportunities to work with Bring Me!,” said Rich Reid, BuzzFeed’s VP of Global Content and General Manager of Bring Me!.
In addition to Sylvester, whose innovative adventure travel film series “GO” offers viewers a first-hand POV of his exhilarating journeys through some of the world's most recognizable cities, the Bring Me! Creators include the couple behind the famous Instagram account, DevourPower. Run by Greg and Rebecca Remmmey, DevourPower offers a glimpse into their food and travel-filled lives. Jasmine Pak and Lizz Warner, Bring Me!’s own homegrown talent, round out the program, offering a range of backgrounds, experiences and interests.
The new class of Bring Me! Creators are part of BuzzFeed’s Creators program, which provides access to the company’s most influential video producers, writers, editors, directors, and personalities to help co-create content and amplify branded campaigns. Through the content they create with BuzzFeed, Creators have built up an engaged following and have become extensions of BuzzFeed’s influence and voice.
About the Bring Me! Creators:
Nigel Sylvester is an American professional BMX athlete and filmmaker from New York City, and is considered a true trailblazer in the world of sport and culture. Since turning professional at 18 years old, Nigel has become globally recognized for his relentless drive, creative vision, and disruptive approach. Among other endeavors, Nigel is known for his innovative adventure travel film series "GO," in which he both produces and stars. He continues to collaborate and design with some of the world's most notable brands. In addition to his multiple runway appearances at global fashion weeks and his active role with the pro-social organization, Cycle Kids, Nigel continues to push the boundaries of sport, art, and travel.
DEVOURPOWER is a glimpse into Greg and Rebecca Remmmey’s food and travel-filled lives. This viral account was created by the NYC-based couple whose love of eating and experiencing new cultures and destinations sparked inspiration to create a joint Instagram account, DEVOURPOWER. Started in 2012 when they first began dating, the account generally features savory foods, with a heavy emphasis on tacos, burgers and all things cheese. Their followers love to learn about accessible dishes and products as well as the “making of” style videos.
Jasmine Pak is not afraid to travel where her stomach takes her. Over a meal with Jasmine, you may hear anything from her experiences eating bizarre foods to getting bitten by a poisonous spider. With a zest for food and travel, you can find Jasmine hosting food tours around the world or surprising her friends with giant versions of their favorite foods on Bring Me!’s most popular show, Giant Food Time. With a silly and relatable sense of humor, Jasmine can make anyone feel like her best friend. She’s business on the outside and Ali Wong on the inside, so be prepared for lots of laughs. When she’s not eating or drinking boba, you can catch her at a HIIT workout and then immediately researching her next food adventure.
Lizz Warner is an adventure traveler who takes the "road less traveled" quite literally. You'll never find her in the same place twice, always somewhere a little insane - climbing on top of a rooftop at a festival in Cadiz, racing against an Olympic skier in Pyeongchang, or front row of the Top Thrill Dragster roller coaster in Ohio. She’s at her peak when she’s traveling solo so she can meet people from around the world and hear their stories. She’s obsessed with dark chocolate, planet conservation and adventure sports, particularly snowboarding & mountain biking. Lizz has been a great contributor at BuzzFeed and one of Bring Me!’s first-ever Producers.
