BuzzFeed UK and Twitter launch #What2Watch this June

Samsung has signed on as a presenting sponsor.

London, Tuesday 14th May - On June 6th, BuzzFeed UK and Twitter launch the much-anticipated #What2Watch. Exclusively broadcast on Twitter via @BuzzFeedUK, the weekly show will be hosted by writer, broadcaster and TV expert Scott Bryan (@scottygb) and BuzzFeed’s resident social media editor Dionne Grant (@DionneGrant).

#What2Watch will be broadcast from London and each week, Scott and Dionne will take a look at the latest programmes on linear and non-linear television and provide expert advice on what you should watch next. Expect reviews, recaps and games.

Samsung has signed on as a presenting sponsor.

Commercial Director for BuzzFeed UK, Brant McLean said, “It’s finally time to share our long-adored TV content each week in a new format, alongside our partners Twitter and Samsung! The TV world is so fragmented now, with ever more content to consider and we would all benefit from friendly guides. Thankfully, we have Scott and Dionne to fulfil those roles.

“We found the perfect fit for a show like this that naturally portrays how people actually watch and discuss TV; we have premiere TV products provided by Samsung, the best second screen experience from Twitter and the most talked about entertainment content from BuzzFeed.”

EMEA Head of News and Sport for Twitter, Jo Kelly said, "People on Twitter love television and love talking about it. We're the home of passionate TV conversation and that's why this show and its format is ideal for us and once we added Scott and Dionne's expertise and personality to the mix it was obvious we had something very exciting on our hands.

Each episode will be shaped by Twitter data looking not only at what fans are really talking about in relation to TV but also when they're talking about it, which will truly combine content and conversation."

Erin Willis, Head of TV Marketing at Samsung, adds, “Many of our favourite shows and documentaries span numerous content providers now so it’s really exciting to be part of #What2Watch, helping people navigate the wide world of TV. It’s so important for us to help users get to their favourite content as quickly as possible and with Samsung’s latest QLED TVs, users can be just three clicks away from their favourite show with Smart Control.”

The show’s live stream will be free and accessible globally on Twitter. You can join the conversation via #What2Watch or @What2Watch, and viewers real time questions and comments will be brought in throughout the show.
