Yes, ‘The Sims’ is Really Coming to your TV with a Reality Competition Show on TBS and BuzzFeed

”The Sims Spark’d” features BuzzFeed Multiplayer’s Kelsey Impicciche and other celebrity judges in a reality mash-up of Great British Bake-off, Project Runway and The Sims

If you thought ‘The Sims’ getting any better was SIM-possible, we have a treat for you.

BuzzFeed’s gaming channel Multiplayer has partnered with Electronic Arts (EA) and Turner Sports’ ELEAGUE on an exciting new reality series, “The Sims Spark’d,” a one-of-a-kind creative competition that challenges players’ storytelling capabilities in the beloved game The Sims.

Twelve highly-skilled contestants, fan-favorite online gaming personalities, will tap new levels of imagination in the wildly popular Sims to tell original stories in ways we’ve never seen them before. What’s in it for them? A shot at a $100,00 cash prize (cha-ching!) and the chance to be crowned the Most Creative Sims Player!

The new four-episode weekly series is hosted by American Idol finalist Rayvon Owen, and judged by singer Tayla Parks, game developer Dave Miotke and Multiplayer’s own Kelsey Impicciche, who “spark’d” the re-emergence of ‘The Sims’ #100BabyChallenge through her hit series, “Single Girl Tries To Have 100 Babies In The Sims.”

In this game, everyone is welcome. “The Sims Spark’d” takes a fresh and inclusive approach to competitive gaming with obstacles designed to ignite the imagination, inviting players (and the audience) share their own diverse stories, incorporate characters of different backgrounds and live out their absolute wildest dreams.

For Sims super-fans (we <3 you): Beginning July 17, The Sims 4 will feature a series of in-game challenges called the Spark’d Challenge Program. Top-performing creators will have the change to be considered for a future season of The Sims Spark’d.

Watch the Spark’d series trailer here and tune in Friday, July 17th at 11:00 pm EST on TBS, and subscribe to the Multiplayer YouTube channel (turn on notifications!) to catch the digital release. Trust, you won’t want to miss this!
