BuzzFeed Brings its Most Popular Series Ever Across the Pond with Worth It UK
First International Version of Top YouTube Series Greenlit for Full Season Debuting 5th November
London / New York, 30 October 2017 -- BuzzFeed today announced the launch of Worth It UK, bringing the hit series to the United Kingdom for the first international spin off of global phenomenon Worth It.
In Worth It UK host and executive producer Richard Alan Reid, along with a rotating cast of Brits, will travel throughout the land dining at three different price points -- affordable, middle tier, and luxury -- to determine which dish is the most Worth It. Celebrating the rich diversity of Great British cuisine, from a 70p cup of tea all the way to a £925 kebab, the six-episode first season of Worth It UK will launch on 5th November.
This is the first show format BuzzFeed has exported from the US to an international market. The first foray into shows for BuzzFeed UK, the launch indicates the company’s intention to expand its TV offering in the market.
Worth It is one of the most watched shows on YouTube and has to date generated over 360 million views, with over 2.5 billion total minutes watch time (that’s equivalent to over 3500 years of viewership) and will return for a 4th season in 2018.
Worth It UK Exec Producer and host Richard Alan Reid said, "We loved making the show -- all the food and all the stories were incredible, from cosy tea rooms in the Cotswolds to the glitzy Michelin starred restaurants in Mayfair. The UK has such diverse cuisine, fantastic cities, brilliant people and of course the best sense of humour in the world! We wanted to showcase as much British-ness as possible -- from battling the wind in Manchester and doing interviews under umbrellas, to being hijacked for our chips by massive seagulls on Brighton Pier."

Worth It UK episodes include: £4 vs £210 Curry, 70p vs £80 Cup of Tea, £5 vs £925 Kebab, £21.50 vs £72 Afternoon Tea, £3 vs £200 Chocolate, and £4 vs £50 Fish & Chips.
