A gunman who took two hostages in the Paris suburb of Colombes, Paris, handed himself over to police, BuzzFeed News confirmed.

Two people who were taken hostage in a post office by a gunman in the Paris suburb of Colombes were released unharmed, police confirmed to BuzzFeed News.

Local police told Libération that the gunman was known to police and may be mentally disturbed.

He turned himself in without incident, police said.
