Things That Are Okay To Do When You Don’t Feel Like Yourself

You do you.

When you feel so small you think you might slip between the cracks in the floor…

Remind yourself that everyone probably feels a little little sometimes, and nobody feels big all the time.

When people look at you like “who are you and what have you done with my friend?”

It’s okay to tell your friends that you’re still you, and you’re still there, and to remind yourself that, too.

When you feel like you’re being squished like a grape by the giant hand of life...

Know that even the biggest moments of pressure too will pass.

When you feel like a not-so-spooky ghost that everyone can see through...

Remind yourself that sometimes it’s okay to just exist and float for a while.

When your brain feels like a tornado and you can’t sort anything out...

Know that you don’t have to have everything figured out all the time, and that the storm will always pass.

When your hands feel like they can't sit still and your heart's had too many cups of coffee…

It’s okay to just sit, breathe, and be kind to yourself.
