Consolidated Memorial Services

Faced with a surging number of deaths in Iraq, Fort Lewis in Washington and Fort Drum in New York have opted for efficiency. “As much as we would like to think otherwise,” says Brig. Gen. William Troy, “I am afraid that with the number of soldiers we now have in harm’s way, our losses will preclude us from continuing to do individual memorial ceremonies.”
