26 Problem-Solving Products That Were Probably Made With Short People In Mind

At five feet tall, I know a thing or two about this subject.

    1. A cushy memory foam foot pillow to place under your chair so your feet have an actual landing pad, rather than uncomfortably dangling.

    2. And on a similar note, an in-flight foot hammock that might seem a little *extra* at first, but will make you a believer after one use. Simply hang it on the arms of your tray table and rest your feet on the cushion so you can sit back in comfort without your feet doing that awkward half on/half off the floor dance. Just make sure you're wearing a clean pair of socks before taking your shoes off!

    3. An *ingenius* bamboo floating bedside table so you can keep essentials like your phone, remote, and a book within a (short) arm's reach without having to strain to reach the far end of a nightstand.

    4. A super useful waterproof windshield cover for any petite person whose least favorite winter task is standing on their tippy toes in an attempt to scrape a stubborn sheet of ice off of their car's largest pane of glass first thing in the morning. With this, you just have to pull it off, and voila! No snow-covered windshield to see here.

    5. A roll of iron-on hem adhesive, because you shouldn't let length get in the way of buying those pants that fit *perfectly*...except for the four inches of fabric that extend past your heel. Just iron some of this on to achieve your desired length without so much as having to pick up a needle and thread — just make sure it's the length you want, since it's permanent!

    6. Or, some double-sided clothing tape for when you want to try out a shorter length without committing juuust yet.

    7. A *gorgeous* velvet cushion to help prop you up so you're not straining at the kitchen table or your desk. It comes with ties you can attach to your chair to ensure it stays put, and once you see the stunning color options, you'll want one of each.

    8. And, a sleek leather cushion for the car that you can think of as an adult booster seat, whether you need help seeing over the steering wheel or simply want a better view from the passenger seat.

    9. An under-shelf basket to give you more storage space you can actually reach, rather than resorting to that dreaded top shelf. Bonus: No installation required, it just slides onto your existing shelf. 🙌

    10. An oh-so-helpful long-necked plant water bottle so you can have your gorgeous hanging succulents and water them, too!

    11. A pair of chunky platform Mary Janes that are perfect on those days when you want a liiittle more height (these have a 4.3-inch heel!). Dirty pant hems, be gone!

    12. Or, some Fila platform sneakers for a sportier look that'll at least make you feel like you could nail a slam dunk. We can dream, right?

    13. A set of car pedal extenders so you'll be able to actually, you know, reach the gas and brake without sliding off of your seat. Safety first, folks!

    14. A lovely wooden step stool that'll give you a little lift when you need to reach the cotton swabs that your S.O. put on the top shelf of the medicine cabinet — they'll learn one of these days!

    15. Or, a minimalist acrylic step stool if you prefer a more modern look. Step stools are just a way of life for us ground-dwellers, so make sure you love the look of yours!

    16. An extendable duster that'll make it sooo much easier to reach those tricky spots, like ceiling fans and light fixtures, tall shelves, and anything else that's seemingly impossible to reach.

    17. A cropped turtleneck so you'll have at least one sweater that's *actually* a sweater and not a dress!

    18. And, a pair of high-rise jeans that come in short lengths and in four washes — aka grab one of each. IYKYK that finding pants you don't have to bring to a tailor is like Charlie finding the golden ticket, so stock up while you can!

    19. A convenient grabbing claw tool so you'll be able to snag a box of cereal from the top pantry shelf without having to ask your roommate for help. Plus, it doubles as a trash picker-upper!

    20. Some under-bed storage containers for easy access to your seasonal clothes stash — leave that hard-to-reach top shelf in your closet for the stuff you'll use mayyybe once every decade. Plus, these containers come with see-through tops so you won't forget what you stashed in them.

    21. A handy fold-up ladder you can bust out for indoor and outdoor tasks that require a little more height — and it all but disappears when it's not in use for compact storage.

    22. A window blind duster brush that'll give you a few extra inches of assistance when it comes to what is likely one of your least favorite cleaning tasks — I mean, we'll use all the help we can get!

    23. A seriously genius travel clothesline you can stick to the wall at whatever height is comfortable for you, aka no more having to fling your wet bathing suit over the shower curtain rod 20 times until it stays put!

    24. An under-the-sink organizer that conveniently rolls out so you don't have to reeeeeach for the dish soap that, of course, happens to be trapped behind everything else you stuck down there.

    25. Some versatile floating shelves, because you shouldn't feel limited to super tall bookcases and storage units! Place these babies wherever your lovely short self desires.

    26. And, a plush adjustable office chair you can raise or lower to your desired height to keep you from straining when you're at your desk for hours at a time. Plus, it's pretty enough to keep your home office from looking like an actual cubicle.
