Before The O.C., we swooned over Dave Rygalski, who was willing to put up with Lane's strict parents just to take her to the prom. He left the show to go to "college" in California. In the end, it was a good thing, as Lane and Zach were perfect. (Season 3)

8. The Shins: Girls and Bikinis, Boys Doing the Twist

As The Shins were gathering popularity, they appeared as the live band at the Florida night club and were witness to the famous Paris and Rory kiss. However, what we were really wondering was why James Mercer was wearing a sweater at spring break?! (Episode: Boys in Bikinis, Boys Doing the Twist)

9. Seth McFarlane: The Angry Community College Student

You read that right, Seth McFarlane was on Gilmore Girls! He played one of her fellow community college graduates who turns on her viscously when he finds out she comes from money. (Episode: Lorelai's Graduation Day)

Yeah, yeah, Sookie was a series regular, but every Gilmore Girls fan has to refrain from yelling "I loved her first!" whenever Melissa McCarthy gets the props she has always deserved. We love her current work, but Sookie will always be our favorite. Bubbly, funny, and perfect timing--Sookie is the best friend we all want to have and be!

He may not be a classically trained actor, but Sebastian Bach was pretty much amazing as Gil, the lead guitarist of Lane's band. Adding a hair band rocker to Lane's garage band was an awesome story line and Gil had some great one-liners. Gil's best episode: jamming with the Koreans at Lunar New Year Dinner with Lane's family (Episode: Come Home).

7. Marian Ross

All hail the queen of the Gilmore clan! Marian Ross takes the cake for best cameo as the harsh, stubborn, and infamous Lorelai "Trix" Gilmore. She is so good, even after her character dies, they still cast Ross as Marilyn Gilmore, her character's neice. If you only watch a few episodes, make sure some of them feature a visit from Gran. She's perfect and hilarious.
