Perhaps we all wish on certain days that we could remain in neverland. Days like the day taxes are due and when we have to get our tires rotated. If we all remained a Peter Pan things would get better right? But how does one know when you've been banned from Neverland? Has your lost boy status been canceled? Here are some surefire signs that you have entered adult life, and pixie dust won't be solving your problems.

Your Paycheck Is Spent The Day It Arrives

Gone are the days of actually buying yourself something, having a fancy dinner, or sporadically splurging on a vacation. Your paycheck belongs to bills now. Hopefully you are lucky enough to have a little leftover for yourself, but for most people, paycheck day isn't as exciting as it used to be.

Moving Is Now An Epic Event

Remember when you went to college or moved away from home for the first time? You packed up your car with your clothes and maybe an old armchair. Now, every time you change your residence, it's a chore; a GIANT one. You've accumulated so much stuff, not only will it not fit into your car on one trip, you may need to rent a moving truck or a Toronto self storage space. If you're downgrading, you may even need to rent a Migson public storage unit to fit all that crap you just can't do without. Guess your gypsy days are numbered.

You Can't Party Like You Used To

Hangovers and their accompaniments now last for days. It's not uncommon to not be able to function properly for the entire day after a night out, but these days it takes all weekend to fully recover.

Your Clothing has become Practical

Those high heels are so cute! I must have them. Who cares if I will only be able to walk in them for an hour without extreme pain? And these flip flops are only $5 dollars and they come in every color! Not so much anymore. Now you shop for practical shoes that are comfortable and durable. It doesn't matter how much they cost, you've come to realize your feet are sort of important. Not to mention your back.

While none of these may sound very appealing, the fact remains that eventually you are going to have to grow up. You can't eat cereal for dinner every night, and you can't guzzle a 12 pack of beer on a Tuesday. Just like your parents eventually did, you must join adulthood.
