I didn’t want to make tough decisions between my family or my job, especially on the holidays. I’ve witnessed so many of my friends struggle through these heartbreaking challenges. It takes courage to try something new or start your own business, but women like me take the plunge every single day and become the happiest they’ve ever been!

Speaking of taking the plunge—your RF portfolio and team is seriously impressive. Do you have any advice for women considering this path?

Carla Romero

I now have over 100 customers in over 18 states and 17 consultants selling in 5 different states—it’s insane! I think part of the reason people trust me is because RF has not only worked for me, but my positive attitude and approach to the business itself has inspired those around me. Much of my success is derived from how transparent I am on social media. Facebook and other social channels have been groundbreaking for me because of this—without being my honest, silly self and posting about RF (at least once a day is my go-to strategy) I would never have been able to leverage my social network for my own success.

You have one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know. From day one, you’ve given back…explain.

I give a portion of my sales back to Justice Ministries, which fights against human trafficking right here in Charlotte, NC. Since my first sale, my contribution effort has grown by over 3,400%! I love this calculation. To see that growth makes me feel so good. My contributions have already allowed them to rescue 2 young women and provide each with medical supplies and clothing!

The first time I was introduced to the possibility of becoming a consultant all I kept thinking was Pink Cadillacs and waxy lipstick. I basically convinced myself that selling RF wasn’t for me because of the unconscious bias that comes along with selling beauty products or skincare. I wasn’t ready in my journey to perceive it the right way, and my heart wasn’t fertile ground. When I did take the plunge, it was crucial that my vision for success prevailed over the rejection I sometimes face. RF requires work and sacrifice, but the reward is 100% worth rolling up your sleeves for!

My only regret is that I had started sooner! If you are approached, or curious about selling RF, my best advice is to just let it happen and not force anything.

From the outside looking in, it’s hard to understand. But from the inside looking out, its hard to explain. You just have to trust me. The unlimited part of success in RF is astounding—when you wrap your mind around that part of this, it’s absolutely life changing. RF is a group of passionate, likeminded professionals with similar goals, values and beliefs. And that’s all it takes, is to believe.
