Here Are 12 Things To Do In Whistler If You're A Terrible Skier

Yes, you can definitely still enjoy this magical, mountainous resort town sans skis.

Whistler has become one of the most popular skiing destinations in the world, and rightfully so. Located just 90 minutes outside of Vancouver, the peaks of Whistler Blackcomb dominate the views of this gorgeous town.

However, if you're a danger to yourself (or others) when handling a pair of skis or a snowboard, there's no reason why you shouldn't still be able to have a good time. Here are some fun things you can do in and around Whistler Village.

Make your way to the quaint, hippie-ish Whistler Museum and you'll soon discover that this ski town is chockfull of history. From learning about the fun-loving ski bums who founded the village to the beautiful wildlife to how the town won the bid for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, there's a lot to discover about this beautiful place. The museum is small enough (it's essentially located in a trailer-like building) that you can just stop by for an hour or two.

    4. Sample the world's only organic potato spirits at the Pemberton Distillery.

    5. Go for gold (or at least pretend to) at the Whistler Sliding Centre.

    6. Eat your way through Whistler Village.

    7. Strap on your skates at Whistler Olympic Plaza.

    8. Throw an axe like a true Canadian.

    9. Practice your downward dog.

    10. Dance the night away.

    11. Admire Canadian and international masterpieces at Audain Art Museum.

    12. Zip line like an adrenaline junkie.
