I think we can all agree that Laura Dern has, so far, had an amazing 2020! From her winning the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Performance in a Motion Picture for Marriage Story back in January...
...to her Oscar win for Best Supporting Actress (also for Marriage Story) in February...
...to today, when she accompanied her son, Ellery Walker, to vote for the very first time (proud mama moment)!
But today was also a sad day for Laura and her family, as their goldfish of 14 years died!
Yup! You read that right: 14 years old!!! I didn't even know goldfish could live that long. Also, I guess they lose their golden hues as they get older ('cause it's pretty pink and silver-ish).
Of course, learning about Laura's goldfish's age made me curious about how long they live...
...and through some deep research (okay, Wiki), I learned that goldfish — when very well taken care of — can live between 10 to 15 years.
Laura and her family's goldfish living to the ripe old age of 14 means they were probably great fish parents!!!!
And at least their fish got to celebrate in all the great accomplishments that Laura achieved this year! Sleep in peace, sweet angelfish.
