This Teen Was Attacked By A Shark And Is Actually Heaps Cool With It

Two days after a great white shark attacked him, Aussie teenager Cooper Allen has been left with a wild story and four deep teeth marks in his leg.

This is Cooper Allen, a surfer from Ballina on the New South Wales north coast. On Monday, Cooper fought off a great white shark that attacked him off Lighthouse Beach.

Cooper was out surfing with his friends Monday morning when a three-metre great white shark attacked him around 9am and mauled both of his legs.

The young surfer, just days out of high school, survived the attack with four gashes in his leg that required stitches. Warning: the photo is a little gruesome.

It's reported that when Cooper managed to get out of the surf to get treatment, he told fellow beach goers to call an ambulance - "but don't tell my mum".

A large shark was spotted by the NSW government's aerial beach patrol team a few hours after the attack, and was quickly pushed out to sea.
